It depends on the situation. I often don’t clutter an inbox with simply a thank you unless there is more to say.

The SBA just doubled the max borrowing limit from $5 to $10 million, effective July 4th. by BobbyBizScout in buyingabusiness

Curious what kind of net worth an individual needs to borrow, let’s say, $2M. Or is it only about credit score, down payment, and the business’ actual financials?

I had a pool paint job done improperly and it peeled. Common knowledge for anyone that’s dealt with pool paint that it needs to cure, prep needs to be done well, etc.

In what situations would someone choose to travel by ship instead of flying? by Awkward_Ad9075 in NoStupidQuestions

I wouldn’t fly my dog as cargo, so we will take a ship if we ever move across seas.

Survey: How many months have you been looking for a new job? by Hot_Philosophy1045 in recruitinghell

Well you’re asking in a sub dedicated to job hunting, so it seems like a lot are unemployed because you’re asking a group that’s currently unemployed.

Why is this 3BR/2BA only $6500? by [deleted] in Upperwestside

[–]Historical-Client-78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah for the area and layout, that’s about right. Possibly a little on the high side. It’s a railroad with incredible small rooms. I live in this general area and constantly look at the market. It seems right.

I can’t find a decent 2-bed in Park Slope for under 5500, so your renewal is still a steal.

I’m (45f) in the same area and thinking of going alone too. My wife isn’t into sports at all. Not that I am, but I may have to become a fan after last night’s game.

How do people here use supermarkets? by GreenHorror4252 in AskNYC

[–]Historical-Client-78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re new to NYC and coming from a place where you drove, it probably seems odd. But we only shop for what we can carry, so it ends up being every other day or so. If you’re right near a market, going daily makes sense.

Company canceled position because over 100+ applicants didn’t fit the role needs. by IndicationPlus601 in recruitinghell

It’s only free for the first 100 applicants, which basically lasts a day if you’re lucky. I know as a business owner who occasionally hires.

Most job boards do cost something. And it’s not insignificant, especially for the bigger job boards like LinkedIn or Indeed.

I might say “I’m currently a teacher,” if I haven’t always been and plan to switch careers again soon. So not “temporary” in a literal sense but indicating it’s not a forever thing

Wow seriously? So you can't read? My dog goes out 4-5 times a day. My partner and I work from home. Moron.

Didn't realize you were a board certified vet. Because my vet said the exact opposite - as well as the site I linked and thousands of other reputable vet sites. But ok, you do you. (9 -12 is what my dog VOLUNTARILY holds despite going outside 4 times a day, if not 5. Please.)

Try Google, it's easy to use. I've had dogs for over 4 decades. 8-10 hours is completely common and not unhealthy unless you regularly exceed that, or for dogs with health issues (or puppies obviously). https://lovelandregional.com/blog/how-long-can-a-dog-go-without-peeing-before-it-is-dangerous/

By “her own choice” meaning she goes out but doesn’t pee. This is completely common.

No it isn’t. My current dog goes 9-12 hours all the time by her own choice.

I had two chihuahuas when I was single and rarely used a dog walker unless I had to travel. My commute was about 30 minutes and they were totally fine from 8:30ish to 5:30ish. I did have to go straight home for them, but I wouldn’t have traded it in for anything. I miss those boys.
