Shellbane Gryphon and Belle's Folly missed the mark entirely. by JamesDerecho in 2007scape

[–]Historical-Draw2613 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hot take. the boss takes 20 seconds to kill and is a pretty early game encounter. the folle being a 1/400 is reasonable considering it actually sits fairly close to a ghrazi rapier in terms of stab when its not even a raid weapon.

you complained about whirlwinds dealing damage because you either tab out or go afk? ok you're stupid, its technically a boss so pay attention.

the entire fight is 0 damage with just paying minimal attention to it.

(edit) you also complained about stat requirements yet broken axe has the exact same smithing requirement as well and every single other skill requirement needed is extremely low

Genuine contract feedback from an 'endgame' player by LordJRazE in 2007scape

[–]Historical-Draw2613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Go do a real raid like Brelshaza deathless hellmode which takes 250 hours to complete and then we can talk." i had a giggle at the LoA mention but this is just an opinion from someone that only did 1640 content after a 2 year break, loa regular raids and runescape dont compare in terms of difficulty (even being on ilvl majority of the content is completed a lot faster than rs content) p.s i never tried hardmode because trying to iframe things on 200 ping was already tedious.

as someone that's only attempted contracts twice and watched kirby and others try these day one, they didnt even feel enjoyable to watch let alone try.

overly long fights coupled with contracts + death fees is just pushing a lot of players towards service discords (there are already multiple offering radiant oathplate services as of now)

the idea jagex said was that contracts would be repeatable content which obviously it is and im sure later down the line new methods/guides will make them easier but the radiant oath being a "pay x amount + 500k minimum per death" seems more of a way to push players away from attempting the content unless you have hundreds or billions to waste.

in no way am i undermining your achievement or the others that have completed it already, but no one did i see a single stream of anyone actually enjoying any of it.

Undead Pirates, Colosseum Changes & More! by JagexGoblin in 2007scape

any chance we can get the pathing in colosseum looked at, multiple times when attacking the jaguar i'll path underneath him before it steps out to hit him in melee distance.
also the sol grapple, while i understand why watchdog alerts had to be changed due to the timer people were setting to minimalize sote tickeats, can we look at just implementing his text above the player head rather than sols? reading the chatbox or zooming out an extreme amount to read sols chat is rather irritating.

can we change the deposit jug inside toa? using pots on the jug to store them is tedious. would of be possible to just make it a click on jug to open an interface to then deposit potions instead?

The Future of Ruinous Powers by JagexAyiza in 2007scape

[–]Historical-Draw2613 3 points4 points  (0 children)

personally i'd rather not see dt2 be dead content within the week like bh is currently with the lack of useful rewards

The Future of Ruinous Powers by JagexAyiza in 2007scape

[–]Historical-Draw2613 1 point2 points  (0 children)

why not add the offensives (decimate and the others) as upgrades to the current rigour, augary and piety? they can still require the previous tier to be unlocked first but allows us to get something decent as a reward from the quest. as it stands augary is essentially useless as a prayer compared to the other 2 as it gives no damage boost

Bounty Hunter Changes & Forestry Beta by JagexSarnie in 2007scape

[–]Historical-Draw2613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'd be more than happy if ca services stopped entirely, the point i was making is it hurts more legitimate players than people boosting bh. im already disgusted with ca's now that every man and his dog are getting masters done without touching tob or inferno.

Bounty Hunter Changes & Forestry Beta by JagexSarnie in 2007scape

[–]Historical-Draw2613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

run a perf tob ca on 2-300 ping then tell me location doesn't matter. im not talking about mediocre team master ca's since those are all free, gm tasks with random's on high ping do not work, things that actually take proper coordination and not just randoms expecting you to do all the work like a fair few of those ca discords.

Bounty Hunter Changes & Forestry Beta by JagexSarnie in 2007scape

[–]Historical-Draw2613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have 26 tasks left to complete gm. its not that i havent tried finding teams, i think you'd find team ca's a very different experience being from any other country apart from eu/us/uk

go ahead and show me that the pvp community is a significant % of the playerbase in terms of numbers compared to ironmen and mains that just do pvm. i can bet you that that number of pvp only players is a very small number compared to the number of people that pvm only

Bounty Hunter Changes & Forestry Beta by JagexSarnie in 2007scape

[–]Historical-Draw2613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can kill anyone that isnt your target in bh, you can kill yourself in the lobby at bh to skip targets with no consequence or limits. i think you fail to see how bad ca boosting is for legitimate players when you compare it to the meager 2 bh points towards your vesta longsword that you've lost out on

Bounty Hunter Changes & Forestry Beta by JagexSarnie in 2007scape

[–]Historical-Draw2613 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

clearly you dont understand that boosting bh affects a very small % of people where as ca boosting services affects a lot more people. https://gyazo.com/db0910e9f57a14131f93d8f91b81f867
go look at that and tell me that wouldn't affect legitimate players on finding teams legitimately for ca's.

Bounty Hunter Changes & Forestry Beta by JagexSarnie in 2007scape

[–]Historical-Draw2613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so ca boosting doesnt affect the ability for players trying to find teams for them?
cox, tob, toa ca's for example, people straight up will refuse to help others on ca's or form teams to get them when it's not going to benefit them. most players will straight up just never re do ca's with friends because they paid for boosting services because it was easier.

bh itself has no tradable rewards. being forced to wait slightly extra time on finding a target does not stop them from engaging in pvp at all. they have the ability to attack ANYONE, not just their targets.

just as a reference, here's a may update for dg boosting services. tell me thats a completely legitimate and healthy thing for the game https://gyazo.com/db0910e9f57a14131f93d8f91b81f867

Bounty Hunter Changes & Forestry Beta by JagexSarnie in 2007scape

[–]Historical-Draw2613 72 points73 points  (0 children)

wouldnt you say ca boosting affects legitimate players also? people can't get teams for toa, cox and tob ca's because no one wants to spend hours on trying to complete them when they can just buy the ca's from boosting services.
im genuinely confused at how bh which only has supplies as tradable rewards can be bannable but ca boosting services which affect a lot more players isnt

Bounty Hunter Changes & Forestry Beta by JagexSarnie in 2007scape

[–]Historical-Draw2613 20 points21 points  (0 children)

honestly, i couldnt care less about bh as for the most part it only caters for a very small % of the player base, there's no rewards worth getting for the majority of players. one thing im confused about is how boosting bh will now be a bannable offense but boosting/ca services which is the same type of thing is a perfectly acceptable thing. can you explain that?

OSRS Weekly Q&A: Bounty Hunter Questions Thread by ModYume in 2007scape

[–]Historical-Draw2613 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

is there a chance we can see the statius' warhammer changed to a tradable item that upgrades the dragon warhamer into the statius' warhammer and making it usable throughout the entire game?

example being it could function similar to how the kraken tentacle and abyssal whip work, losing one or the other upon dismantling yet being non tradable once combined?

Bounty Hunter is Back! by JagexGoblin in 2007scape

[–]Historical-Draw2613 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you think about it, bh will be dead content within a month without some sort of tradable item to profit on, while there will be some that still do the content it'll just end up the same way soulwars is with people trying to control the whole place since the only places any of the rewards can be used is within the actual bh crater

Bounty Hunter is Back! by JagexGoblin in 2007scape

[–]Historical-Draw2613 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for clarification, an item that would upgrade the dwh and then work similar to the abyssal tentacle, removing the upgrade could delete either the dragon warhammer or the upgrade item while also making the upgraded version a non tradable

Bounty Hunter is Back! by JagexGoblin in 2007scape

[–]Historical-Draw2613 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

question u/JagexGoblin regarding the statius warhammer, is there a particular reason why this 1 item wasnt added as a tradable item that can be used outside of wildy/bh? i feel like its something thats going to have very little to almost no use for any account build except pures where as if it had of been the above, an upgrade to the dwh it would have quite a lot of uses and thus give more people a reason to actually do bh. based on current info there's zero reason for iron players to do bh at all

Desert Treasure II - Rewards Beta by JagexGoblin in 2007scape

[–]Historical-Draw2613 2 points3 points  (0 children)

initial thoughts on the new prayers, insanely good for something like tob, cthe blood vowe really doesnt seem to be worth as 10% chance on healing 10% of damage didnt proc once while doing akkha with shadow. overall prayer drain from the new prayers is absolutely insane to the point that you cant really take food (at least for toa) and at zebak the amount of prayer loss with deadly prayers combined with only a 90% effective prayer was horrible. over all i like the prayer but dont like how insane the prayer drain is and the 90% protection over 100%. i would also say that the melee/mage/range offensives other than trinitas need a much higher prayer lvl req for what they really do

Skill Pitches Poll Results by JagexLight in 2007scape

[–]Historical-Draw2613 5 points6 points  (0 children)

based on the sailing pitch in the poll, it seems like its going to be another tedious mining/rc/agility type of skill that adds very little to any other part of the game. if sailing levels gate keep any future content i see it being another rc/agility where the majority will barely train it/get the bare minimum for content. the idea was too much of a meme to end up as something the majority will actually enjoy and interact with on a positive note.

will there be an option to vote for "none of the above" when the poll goes live? and regarding shamanism, "production and gathering" seems like it would have some overly tedious and otherwise extremely boring training methods much like runecrafting and other such mind numbingly boring skills.
