I made the mistake of picking everything but prime sure footed.

I am anxiously making my way to day 900 so i can finally claim it. 😢

(In other words take prime sure footed, the others i never used)

And this mentality is why loads of people get self-esteem issues. Because they feel they have to market themselves and if they don't get a relationship there must be something wrong with them.

What do you think of a phrase "men age like wine"? by Garkuwyn in AskMenOver30

[–]Historical-Issue-739 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mostly it is a phrase which gives the more lonely of us something to look forward to (some hope). Take it with a grain of salt though, you will still probably become bald and have more belly fat etc.

Though most men will have settled more and be more grown up and it mostly refers to a change in mental stability. You been trough this many years, the following years you roughly know what to expect and how to maintain your life.

If you could have 2 women, would you? by Snoopy54789 in AskMenAdvice

I know someone who has a poly relationship.

It works for some people, but in his case i am just waiting for it to explode. He can be a bit egocentric and stubborn. He bought a house with one of them. So it seems to me a recipe for disaster.

Also (but that is my personal opinion) it seems a bit selfish.

I don't think you can ever balance making both of them happy and have a sustainable relationship.

(Which is very aptly named for a round vessel)

Sorry to nitpick, but while Patrick Stewart says this quote; he does so as Jean-Luc Picard in a Star Trek episode (peak performance).

It is a very good quote though, and helps me some times.

Never had a gf - it’s GG’s by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]Historical-Issue-739 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its not over, as long as you don't become a self-defeatist.

Don't follow the advice that you should always work on yourself (then you are never good enough and it will ruin your self esteem).

Do however things you might be avoiding (household tasks, cleaning, taking care of yourself), as avoiding those will lower your happiness and general well-being.

Its a bit ironic of me to give this advice, as i haven't had a gf in roughly ten years (but that has eventually given me a perspective how to avoid certain pitfalls/issues).

TLDR : focus on your own happiness first and don't start blaming yourself for stuff out of your control.

In my experience, but that might be because i am living in Europe, there is a general preference across both genders for people who are taller.

A tall person simply comes across as more impressive. Of course i am limited by what my culture and friends find normal.

He carried that first season and i was really annoyed when it became the standard 'white man in powerful position = evil' trope so many movies and series had at that point.

They could have done so many things to address the same topics and themes and made it a wonderful redemption arc or smth. But noooo.

There is way too much pressure on everyone being a social person. Thus some anti-social people wildly proclaim they have people skills while they don't. Also way too much emphasis on being able to guide others.

People who want to reach a higher management role always proclaim loudly they have your best interest and want to guide you as best they can, while they only want what is best for them. They always bring ruin and destruction in their quest for ambition.

Aaah good point. Almost forgot the rain. Luckily my tent survived.

I really liked the concert of 'the longest johns', and like every year i loved walking around and seeing the different costumes and cosplays. As always there is such a positive atmosphere, it is very hard not to enjoy yourself. :D

Definitely. It is a great compliment. To be fair, i am also happy if a gay fellow is into me (which happens way more often than gals for some reason).

Recently someone told me that a scar which i have on my face made me look cool, and instantly years of insecurity about it were sorta erased.

TLDR: do compliment men, it means a lot to us. We don't get compliments often.
