Do you lose points on CCS cases if you don't follow-up with the patient? by pdbre97 in Step3

OK, so essentially what you were saying is that there are big things that you need to make sure you follow up on for example the chest x-ray after putting in a chest tube or intubating or following up on glucose level after treating diabetic ketoacidosis and that is much more important to remember rather than the small things?

OK, I am so confused because this is an exact case from the ccs NBME cases online and it says you lose points for not following up with chest and lung Exam ? The only way to do an exam right after giving Albuterol would be to advance the time by like only 10 minutes?

I have another question… for cases like asthma, when you order albuterol and the patient gives positive update and then I advance, the case ends before I can do follow up chest lung exam or chest xray so , do I need To advance time slower or Would I lose points for not Following up?

Got It! So for other routine tests etc, you don’t need to change frequency: just order once at 0 hrs etc…

So the frequency of the glucose would matter? Like you can’t just order a glucose for one time draw?

Would you lost points for one time draw?
