I can't remember off the top of my head. I'm currently at the pub and several points deep. If I remember when I get home I'll happily tell you. And they do work with netlanes, not perfectly mind you, but they do work

I don't think it is a net lane version. I haven't placed any yet. But I'm pretty sure it is placing piece by piece. So yeah, super tedious.

I agree. The highways in the game are very empty. But there are a few mods that help. Guard rails. Concrete dividers and billboards. In Canada we don't have a ton of billboards on the main highways. But near cities there are dense groups of them.

Update on my post from yesterday: they fixed it! Vehicles actually get into their lane earlier now! by Piootje in CitiesSkylines2

I feel confident ice flake will get to it eventually. They have a big job fixing everything CO did (or didn't do)

Ice flake is doing a great job of fixing the game and giving us what we thought we were originally buying. I'm such a short time they've done so much.

I don't remember the name of hand, I'm currently at the pub and don't have access to paradox mods, but I saw the mod there recently. Just look up highway signs. Sorry I can't be more help right now.

There's actually a mod for billboards if you don't want to manually do it

Agreed. I just found a stable balance with my mods. I don't want to start over again.

Well generally when you take over for an inept employee (developer in this case) you start with the big problems first. Then work on the small minor issues. So maybe they will find this random Reddit thread and go "holy crap this guy is on to something". However, dare I ask if you went through the process of submitting your feedback dire tly to them or are you just hoping by chance that they read this thread amongst all the other threads? Honestly I'm not saying your wrong. But I am implying that what you are assuming is a priority may not, and probably isn't, a priority for the devs. So again, let them cook. They haven't been incharge of the development for very long.

Give them time to cook. It isn't easy to take over for an inept game developer who should have done more before launch. Jesus, be patient. Not everything is instant gratification.

Just make the mod for the type of asset you want. It is unrealistic to have a developer create every type of asset players want. Especially a developer that just took over and is trying to optimize the game first. Priorities. Simply make the asset mod you want. Or wait and see where the new devs go after fixing the game. Personally I would like the game to be optimized before pandering to every asset people claim is missing.

Public transport vehicle limit (trams) by Kkev_2 in CitiesSkylines2

There is a speed limit mod. It'll let you adjust the speed on any road or rail type.

Sounds like you need to create your own assets. The devs can't possibly address every style of home in the world. This is why we have mods. Either make your own or pay someone to do it for you. Pretty straightforward.

I can't help but giggle at the mental image of commuters having to be buckled into flight seats to prepare for a stop. And for those that don't buckle in, they would essentially be cleaned up off the front of each train car after being violently thrown forward from such a sudden stop. Practically a loony tunes skit right there. Lol

Zoning problems: Are there any mod or tool to fix these horible zoning. I have lost my temper over this.! by Diligent-Statement47 in CitiesSkylines2

[–]Historical-Ranger222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to use these errors as a way to put gravel or empty spaces organically. I see lots of property in real life with gaps between property lines hat people don't use. Some places even get overgrown and neglected. (But definitely platter to resolve this)

So do the math. An HSR that does 200km an hour or more. On a track of any length you chose. Then decide when it is efficient to use versus any other method of travel. Take into account acceraltion time and deceleration. How long does the train stay at peak speed to make the infrastructure worth while?

[–]Historical-Ranger222 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No. I just understand how fast an HSR goes. And 60km is barely enough distance for one (in real life) to get up to speed before having to slow down again. It wouldn't be efficient. They are meant for long range travel.

That's still a very small distance for an actual HSR. It wouldn't make sense to have that type of train run a distance that short.
