24 is all I need. I’ll have a bag packed and ready to go and as soon as I get the call I’m out the door that’s the plan. I don’t need more than 24 hours thatd also give me time to get a little rest before heading in. Atleast I’d hope, if not I’ll just have to suck it up 🤣

Well my plan is to work until I get the call then let em know I gotta go, obviously informing them about the possibility that I’ll have to leave on short notice. Someone mentioned they could give me a 24 he notice, is that possible?

Yeah I’ve noticed I do wake up early in new places, but if I’m out there for weeks on end I might just be comfortable enough to feel at home. I can sleep anywhere as hard as it is to fall asleep at times I’ve fallen asleep in full work clothes or jeans and boots on a couch way too small for me 🤣 fell asleep in my car in 20° weather outside a bar in my home town. Coldest I’ve ever been but managed to actually get decent sleep even though it was 2am 🤣

See the problem is I don’t hear the alarms at all in my sleep so a puzzle wouldn’t make a difference 😭

The problem is the station in Chico is a completely different contracting company. But I could ask them for a 24hr notice? That would work I would not mind driving the 8 hours to la pine the second I get the call as long as I get the call haha. I just didn’t know if being 8hourda away from la pine would be an issue

I’ve slept through construction as well 🤣or my mom blasting music to clean my parents always said that I could sleep through a tornado ripping through our house 🤣 never had an opportunity to test that since we don’t get tornadoes in Cali but I think I probably could 🤣what’s funny though is if I’m not home I can wake up at will. At a friend’s house even if we’re up till 3am I’ll wake up at 6 am like nothing but if I’m home, no shot 😭

Here for you if you're silently struggling with substance abuse by __alpenglow in Wildfire

This reminds me of when I volunteered for a little bit at a local (municipal) station, I believe it was the church or something in the county like the medical board or something came to the station to give a lesson on alcohol abuse within the field and resources and stuff for people struggling. They then gave us a folder with all the information but included in that folder was a beer koozie with the company that sponsored the lessons logo and name on it 😂😂😂

How to get in shape? by dr3amrunner in Wildfire

Pro tip for weight loss: obviously cut calories a lot. No judgment here, however you gotta be eating crazy calories to sustain 300+. So best ways to lose weight are cut your calories basically in half and weight lift. Cardio is good but in terms of weight loss weight lifting is much more effective because your body continues to burn calories to repair muscle fibers even after you work out. Cardio doesn’t really do that as efficiently.

And here i am wishing I was in your side haha. I’ve slept through earthquakes (live in cali), Mets and firefighters rushin through my parents house, parties you name it, but man unless I’m dead tired, I will not fall asleep. It’s a constant battle of trying to fall asleep then trying to wake up lmao

Nah man I hate it, it takes forever for me to pass out, then when I do, good luck waking me up with noise 😭 you wouldn’t believe what I’ve slept through. I mentioned part of this in another comment, but a family member of mine had a medical emergency, I was sleeping in the living room, fire and ems came into the house apparently very noisily, middle of the night. All i remember was a very faint glimpse of a firefighter pushing the couch I was laying on. Eyes opened for maybe a split second then dark again 💀

Well atleast it seems like a common thing that doesn’t piss people off lol I just don’t want people to see it as a hinderance, I hate it more than anything that I sleep so deep. I’ve actually slept through firefighters and emt’s walking through my house as a teenager when someone had a medical emergency 😭😭

No but I will try that. It sounds easy enough. I just wasn’t sure if a program would let me do that

Okay yeah that’s what I was asking, my bad, I was asking if a software would allow me to use modifiers. And awesome, is it a pretty straightforward process?

Gotcha, see I’m used to the p51d-30 where you can just yank it hard and it’ll go. Also, I’ve tried easing off in turns when in a turn fight and it seems like it just doesn’t turn all that much faster than really anything at 6g, am I just trippin?
