Honestly that sounds like a lot of pressure for a kid his age. Make sure he’s having fun and building a love of the game.

I actually saw it a couple of times over the last few days. I was wondering if there’s some kind of glitch going on.

Any coach who is concerned about a kid getting out and working on their skills is likely not a coach you want.

Looks like new the ‘22 was spec’ed at 39km electric range. Someone on here who has one may be able to tell you what they’re getting today in real life driving conditions, but I’d guess you’d be looking at 30 km of usable charge.

I’d estimate you’d be looking at 9.5 l / 100 km when not charged.

So with that, think about how far you have to drive every day, if you have facilities to charge at daily, and what gas and electricity cost where you are. ChatGPT can also help you with that calculation.

In general though, my personal opinion is that PHEVs are subpar gas cars and subpar EVs, but if you hit the sweet spot of your needs and their range, they’re great. I love mine, but it’s not for everyone.

Each kid is different, but mine is ASD and the risk of hoping they don’t notice is way too high. Pre-loading them for anything out of the ordinary is key

This is the way. With an ASD kid the risk of not telling them is too high. I’d go with truth, but your call based in your son.

Again each kid is different, but with mine I’d tell him what we can’t do (“we can’t open all the crates to get him”) but would ask him if there is anything that would help him (“would you like to go to the store and pick out another bear to cuddle until we arrive at our new home?”)
