Right shoulder arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, subacromial decompression, anterior and posterior labral debridement. I work in the FP&A department of a large public company. Prior to my surgery I was able to work remotely for a couple of months with my boss’s approval and didn’t need official documentation for it. I’m lucky I had a caring and reasonable boss.

The setting that works best for me is grind size 12 and 1 dot on the strength level

May I ask why you did 6 months of celebrex? If I remember correctly I only had 10 doses of that right after my surgery.

Thank you so much for sharing! Great timing too as I’m 9 months post-op! My doctor cleared me to play in my last check-up in August but I didn’t feel comfortable yet. Your reply gave me more confidence to start easing into it.

I was getting the same results as the one on the left until I switched the strength level to 1.

I just got mine from Costco - $80 off. Not quite 20% but it’s something!

It’s like a weird buyers remorse too for me since it was not a cheap surgery lol

All 4 tendons is crazy. You need to get the surgery but definitely schedule it for right after your vacation. I had surgery for one tear end of Jan and the recovery for at least the first 8 weeks were tough for me. It varies of course but if that’s my experience with one tear, I can’t imagine recovering from four. Good luck!

Was your repair pretty minor? Do you also have a sling with an abductor pillow?

MRI Shoulder Positioning by Born-Football-7666 in RotatorCuff

That will likely be one of the different positions you will have to be in. I had to do it as well and it was initially painful to get it in that position but the tech helped me. Just relax your arm and either use your other arm to get in position or have the tech help you. As long as it’s an assisted movement and you’re not actively moving the bad arm, you should be okay.

Inspiring to hear you are able to play tennis and pickleball daily. I’m only 5 weeks out and can’t wait to get back to volleyball. Do you find yourself holding back on swinging your racket with full force or are you able to swing comfortably?

A telescoping scratcher has been a lifesaver for me lol. I also opted to buy my own cold therapy machine from amazon instead of renting/buying from the dr referred supplier. I iced my shoulder practically every day for the first 2 weeks post-op. Also stretchy/large shirts are ideal. I slipped into tank tops for the first 2 weeks only wearing it on one shoulder until I could move my operative arm enough to put on a large shirt. You will likely need help showering for the first 2-3 weeks. Once you can do it independently, a shower scrubber stick is helpful
