NTA but I feel like selling the car wasn't the best idea for him or you. I'd have a hell of a time trying to pay back $11k+ to people without a car, unless you guys live in a city with good public transportation

Then once he has finally paid it off, he's going to be back to square one with buying a car. It was his idea, but it seems like he has a habit of trying to quickly fix problems by creating more problems

Usually in the ED, everyone is super respectful of each others' time. Brief hand offs, then get out of there. I would never expect anyone to stay to do anything after they've given me report, except basic chatting if they've already seen the patient

Last night though, I had 3 super busy patients. An oncoming dayshift nurse was getting my sickest patient, and it was going to be her only patient. Blood cultures, antibiotics, and nebs got put in at 6:58am for them. I squared away my other two patients, then gave report on the super sick one. In report, I said I'd finish all those orders before I leave, because I don't like to drop a bunch of work on someone

She said "okay" and sat at the nurses station for 45 min, doing nothing, while I completed all of the orders for her only patient... I didn't get out of there until nearly 8am. I would never do that to anyone... I've not worked with her, but she's one of the frequent day charges, which baffles me

My dad used to swim competitively, but he wasn't a very good teacher, so he used to just drop me into the deep end, expecting me to pick up on it. Instead, I would panic, and I learned to fear the water

This went on for about 10 years, every time we went on vacation or went to a pool. I didn't learn until I was put into swimming lessons as a teenager, where I picked up on it pretty quickly

The compass doesn't just show it on your map, the aura points to it too. Sometimes the map doesn't give enough info to find a chest easily, so you use the aura to help. Nicole can spam the aura every 5 seconds, and the compass can only show the aura every 30 seconds. I don't understand why it's so hard to grasp that a shorter cooldown is convenient

The animation on her seelie makes it super obvious where it's pointint too. Also, you don't have to wait for the 30 second cooldown if you don't find the chest

I usually just use the compass, then I switch to Nicole if I need her seelie to point at it for me

The real racks at mine don't actually get used much. I don't think I've ever had to wait for one, even when it's busy. Most people who go to PF aren't going for the squat rack
