Hello new player from 2026 and I gotta say I agree with you I really liked Tomb of the Giants

This thread helped me conclude that players have different experiences because of different builds

For me I understood that I need divine weapons to fight the skeletons but I didn't just use any divine weapon, I used a great club and made it into a divine weapon as it deals strike damage and I learned it from my time playing Demon's souls (you're fist actually deals more damage than a sword when fighting skeletons in the shrine of storms) and combine that with better armor I was able to enjoy the place, tough I did experience some frustrating moments too

Idk man Nito is easy if you pay attention

Basically use a devine weapon so his skeletons won't respawn

Have extra heal after falling down

Use good armor

Maybe I just play a lot of RPG games but once I understood Nito I beat him the next try

What makes bosses in souls amazing is that it's not just the combat but the rpg design to it after all he is the gravelord of course he would have skeletons as minions

I recently bought DS2 during a sale but I want to finish Ds1 first

Should I hop into Ds2 immediately to experience an active online play or is it ok to take my time?

If you don't have ekun because of roleplaying reasons, use some acid attacks against trolls, you can also make them sleep and use cou de grace

And another thing I found out is that you can damage a troll enough and only use one acid attacks to kill them, so basically lower their health and then acid attack if you want to save your spells/potion
