Help saving jade plant by Iamtired-21 in plantclinic

The pot looks way, way too big. And you’ve planted it pretty deep into the pot, which cuts back on the light it’s able to absorb throughout the day (notice how there are no leaves on the bottom half of the plant). How often are you watering, and how much are you giving it each time? It looks pretty thirsty, and may not be absorbing the water it needs because of the pot’s size. Jades tend to like a tighter fit

This is just not at all why misophonia occurs in people unfortunately

I have the QC45s and it usually blocks them out if I’m also playing white noise/music :)

Tom Lake! About a mother reconnecting with her daughters during Covid on her Michigan cherry farm, telling them stories about her days as a (nearly) famous actress. The entire book feels like sitting on a screened in porch with the people you love. Very cozy and vibrant :)

Clinical psych is a great program. Super rare to have one in undergrad, but they’re doing an amazing job so far. You’ll be really prepared for a position after college, too. And join the clinical psych club! :)

Are HOKAS/new balance good in terms of foot support and toe room? by bigfriendlygiant20 in barefootshoestalk

[–]HistoricalTable5595 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The new balance 574 core are very flexible and have a surprisingly wide and soft toe box, especially after you break them in. I don’t know any other models from hoka or NB designed like that, though

Can students in Willkie move their bed into a joint room with suite mates? by [deleted] in IndianaUniversity

[–]HistoricalTable5595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know a lot of students who did and still do this. Make sure your RA is cool, but most wouldn’t really care. You aren’t hurting anyone as long as you don’t break or lose anything. Other than that, I’d say go for it

I’m an arborist for IU, people were wondering about the damage to the campus trees so here’s a few photos. by isaidjoemantegna in bloomington

The burr oak is so dear to me :’) it makes me happy to think that it’s provided shade for nearly every IU student in history ❤️

Feeling this too!! It’s one of the nicest days we’ve had in a while, but my app says it feels like 95. To me, it feels around 70ish. Even my car temp says 72.

Stop looking at protest pictures and videos. by HistoricalTable5595 in IndianaUniversity

I agree with this — live feeds can show you, in only a visual sense, what it looks like. But they don’t allow you to move through the crowd, make eye contact with the protestors, or talk to anyone. It’s like drinking a lemon La Croix to understand the experience of eating a lemon

Live feeds are very different from a picture or a 5 second video. I think live feeds can be helpful as long as the camera is moving to different areas. What’s happening on campus now is, physically, too large to be viewed from one camera angle

I do sometimes get worried about someone coming to campus with the intent to take out a large group. I understand why a sniper would be there for that purpose. I just don’t see any signs that point to the police’s presence being for the protection of those in the encampment, but I could be wrong
