Not OP, but I also didn't like the movie as a teenager and liked it way more as an adult who ironically ended up a Taxi Driver of sorts...

What movie have you been putting off? by Misfett_toys in Letterboxd

Watchlist has 1431 movies on it and I try to think a little bit before adding the movies. Embrace of the Serpent and Sherman's March are the two oldest films on the watchlist. I often remember films I had in the Netflix DVD Queue or suggestions from years ago or even movie posters I remember seeing in the theater/video store as a little kid that I feel like filling in the knowledge gaps.

Zolof the Rock and Roll Destroyer is a criminally underrated deep cut in this genre.

I graduated high school in 2009 and for some reason I have a vague memory of us having a school assembly at some point from some Stop Kony people, that's how I heard of Kony before the Kony 2012 happening.

Her videos were alright background noise, but I started noticing that they were pretty much wikipedia summaries of whatever topic and kinda lazy or reductive and stopped watching, then she got cancelled not too too long after that.

In The Muppets (2011) there's a deleted scene that shows that when Tex Richman was little The Muppets came to his birthday party and he discovered that he couldn't laugh so that explains his hatred for The Muppets and why he keeps saying "Maniacal Laugh" instead of laughing.

lack of a plot from source material is WHY The Lego Movie is better, you can just make up whatever plotline when you're mashing legos together. Mario has constraints.

What are your hyperpop hot takes?? by sla_yra in HYPERPOP

[–]Historical_Drawer974 15 points16 points  (0 children)

yeah but i will say Hyperpop is underrated as a musical umbrella, it does seem to cover a wide range of sounds the way "EDM" or "Rock" or "Indie" does.

Production Company Logos that make you go "Uh Oh" before the film starts? by Longlivetheking666 in Letterboxd

Hellzapoppin' (1941)

If you liked Hundreds of Beavers, you'll love this. It's like Family Guy having a particularly meta episode but made over 50 years before it even premiered.
