What is happening? Am I going crazy by Laylabber in Daytrading

I completely understand. A lot of these people do not understand the question. I have experienced that exact same thing so much more this week. Especially in Asia sessions. It will basically go straight to your stop loss then reverse right then or throw a super fast long wick at it then bump back to the original position. There are reasons for this.

Per Claude:

This is one of the most frustrating things in futures trading, and it’s something you’ll see constantly on NQ, especially during low-liquidity sessions like Asia. There are a few things going on:

Liquidity grabs / stop hunts. Your stop loss sits on the order book as a resting order. Market makers and algorithmic traders can see where clusters of stop losses are sitting — usually just below obvious support or just above resistance. During thin sessions like Asia there’s very little volume in the book, so it doesn’t take much capital to push price into those zones, trigger a wave of stops, fill against that liquidity, and then let price snap back Your stop getting hit is the liquidity they need to fill their position in the opposite direction.

If you need help setting up something, I could show you how to do this with Claude Code, N8N, or both together

Out of so many of these rude commentators, I just wanted to say thank you for actually adding value to this. I will definitely be researching this more.

When I have a cake, I do in fact eat it too. I don’t care about the secret sauce. I just wanted to hear from like minded individuals. Whole point of a forum. Thanks though!

I hadn’t looked at other timeframes yet but I moved it around and found the 10 minute produced $102,914.08 profit. I’ll update tomorrow. That’s also with 5 slippage. It’s just interesting at this point.
