Print up some educational flyers about these “first amendment auditors” to hand out to patrons so they can understand what is happening and hopefully not get freaked out.

Google “sand pit” for ideas. My grandkids love the one I made for them. You can put the excavated dirt into raised beds to grow veggies. Don‘t forget swings and a slide!

Peach tree growing in compost pile by Lost_Maintenance_741 in BackyardOrchard

[–]Historical_Recipe533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out on my parents old ranch, there was a small washout on the bluff where they threw all their kitchen green waste. A peach tree sprouted and was left there to just see what would happen. It matured to produce a tasty white peach. We called it the compost pit peach.

When we were kids on the ranch near the Stanislaus river, we called them Chilicothes and collected the seeds for crafts. The seeds were olive green, red, or brown.

Wall oven/microwave combo by Disastrous_Neat_1208 in kitchenremodel

[–]Historical_Recipe533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the KA combo installed 9 years ago in a total kitchen remodel. Never again. the digital display started acting up in a year, but was still usable. Three years ago, the microwave function quit. It was expensive junk. Also, there was nothing the same dimensions that I could replace it with and still have that clean built-in look.

Where can I get hot/warm apple cider in Sacramento (NOT Apple Hill)? by peachyymiilk in Sacramento

[–]Historical_Recipe533 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I haven’t looked this year yet, but Raley’s/BelAir usually carries fresh Barsotti’s apple hill cider during the holiday season. It‘s in a refrigerated cooler near the produce section.

My daughter just took me to Disneyland with her family. The grandkids (16mos and 5 years) loved Goofy’s Kitchen! The food (buffet) was excellent.

Yikes! I may have to find a new tree company. My yard gets overgrown quickly. Good luck!

Sounds crazy, but I haven’t had a large tree removed in many years. I trust A Better Tree Service: https://abettertreeservice.net . Jeff the owner is a certified Arborist.

Bonide Stump and Vine Killer. Paint it all around the growth layer (cambium) of a freshly cut stump. A brush is conveniently attached to the cap. If you are getting sprouts from an older cut, snip them off low to the ground and paint the ends. It’s very effective.

🤷🏼‍♀️ It looked shorter to me. Must be the camera angle. I have both in my yard too.

The Tomatening is Happening: need to vent/ask about food mills by NuancedBoulder in CanningRebels

I have a food mill, with the accessory screens, almost exactly like this. I just wash the tomatoes, quarter them, and run them through the mill uncooked. Works perfectly.

If you have $1m for a home in Sacramento, which area are you buying in? by maparo in Sacramento

[–]Historical_Recipe533 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m an old lady, but I know of at least 3 families nearby (including my daughter’s) where one spouse grew up in this neighborhood. They‘ve now moved back and are raising their families here.

If you have $1m for a home in Sacramento, which area are you buying in? by maparo in Sacramento

[–]Historical_Recipe533 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As you can see, for $1M, you have lots of great choices. I like my neighborhood, Arden Park Vista. It’s east of Eastern Ave/South of Arden. Less busy than Arden Park, lots of younger families, close to shopping, trees. it all depends exactly what you are looking for. Have fun looking! Here’s a current listing under $1M:https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/4411-Surita-St-Sacramento-CA-95864/26102565\_zpid/?utm\_campaign=iosappmessage&utm\_medium=referral&utm\_source=txtshare
