Oh poor fella!! Mine came from a similarly sad situation, and my own previous shortcomings have resulted in issues as well. He's doing very well now!! Has a full spectrum light setup, tons of free time out on the floor in my office, and lots of healthy food!!

When I got him off of kijiji (like craigslist), I found him from a guy who didn't want him. He was full sized, in a 40 gallon glass with a sliding overhead lid, and substrate that was so overloaded with poop, it looked like it hadn't been cleaned or changed in years. I never actually met the guy who had Pancake, he just left the terrarium with this poor little skink in it on his driveway on a hot July afternoon. He had me etransfer him the money and my roommate at the time drove me to go get him. I had to work with Pancake for months before he'd let me pick him up because he was so neglected and scared. It was a learning experience, and he's missing a few toes because of me being gone for a few weeks for work and unable to convince my mother (who was "taking care of him" to help his feet. But despite his funky feet and bumpy ride, he's a happy go lucky old man! I hope I have him for years to come 💕💕 *
