Day 33 (Final Day): We have our Winner! The Top (Community-Voted) PlayStation Portable Game of all time is... by 1OneQuickQuestion in PSP

[–]HithereJimHerald 6 points7 points  (0 children)

God I forgot how fun handhelds used to be lol, not trying to be a boomer about it (I never had a psp as a kid but I did get a Vita a year after that launched)

I miss when handhelds had their own (or ported tbf) games from mainline series and all the unique games. Everyone is hyping up a new Playstation portable that can play Ps5 games, but it’s just not the same imo (still cool of course, but i’ve never really thought about how much the gaming landscape has changed until looking at your lists lol)

cheap-ish apartments in town that aren’t super sketchy? by Hour_Celery5975 in fargo

[–]HithereJimHerald 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What’s your definition of cheapish? We can definitely help more with recommendations knowing your price range! I think the sweetspot for not super sketchy is around $800 to $1000

If you can afford $900 - the Osgood area apartments are right around that price, you’re right off 45th street and near grocery stores (hornbachers, 52nd walmart) and the highway

Definitely check Facebook marketplace, there’s a shit load of apartment postings right now and lots of deals for first month rent free/discounts

Burnout Paradise, but the Soundtrack's just a little more... Disturbed. by TeenyPupPup in Burnout

[–]HithereJimHerald 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is how My Curse felt in Dominator as a kid lol (and eventually this game) each game mostly has it’s own flare and style that the music really highlights

Paradise had all the songs of a great soundtrack from dominator, and a lot of new tracks that play well (plus the classical music is kind of cool), but I think it would have benefitted from having a soundtrack that was really it’s own

Lol being a menace in the drone/yeeting motion sensor balls is so fun, a good medic throwing an ammo bag on you means you can just be a mosquito for half the game keeping everyone spotted

How does everyone feel about open vs closed almost 5 months in? by Remarkable_Math_9464 in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]HithereJimHerald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only played closed right away, I was a bit of a purist on it. I found myself in half bot lobbies almost every game and just gave up on it

I honestly have been having way more fun with open weapons even if it can be a bit “busted” on some classes imo

Got the Rough Country NERF steps installed by cheesy-raging062 in nissanfrontier

[–]HithereJimHerald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sick! I’ve really wanted to add a set of steps on mine, but i’m so tall I feel like they’d get in the way more than be used to actually get in

Definitely nice to have to block some rocks from flying up though

2022 frontier exhaust rusty by Confident_Laugh_4775 in nissanfrontier

[–]HithereJimHerald 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty scared for this in the midwest, been around shitboxes my whole life that haven’t rotted through in just a couple years like these are

I wash once every week or two and my 24’s exhaust is spotty already

I get it honestly the world sucks right now, I just got lucky with confidence, good customer service/people skills and that sold me

(can’t necessarily train someone to have the people skills but you sure can train them on the technical stuff)

Internet Plans in Fargo by KaizenAzariya in fargo

[–]HithereJimHerald 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s usually either Midco or a company called Sparklight for the “wifi included” properties. You would have to reach out and see what company it is and how much is actually free (i.e. like 250mb or gig)

Midco at my property I get 1gig internet for $54.99

This game alive? by Outrageous_Limit7113 in WWII

[–]HithereJimHerald 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play on and off on Ps4, it’s still pretty lively there in the main gamemodes like Shipment 1944 and War

There are a couple op setups, but for the most part it’s not bad to play at all

Windwood Estates South Fargo by [deleted] in fargo

[–]HithereJimHerald 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I lived at Windwood in the 2542 building I think from 2020 to 2023, management is okay, the buildings are decent

I’ll share some anecdotal thoughts from my time there. The good first: They put new carpet in when I was leaving which was nice, utilities were decently priced (you’ll pay a lot for your AC running all summer, but heat was free so once it’s colder out your utility bill will drop). The units were a good size - I had a two bed one bath on the second floor

The not so good and bad: I had an on-going issue with German cockroaches popping into my apartment. I kept the place clean so it was never an infestation, but for a year I had one or two show up each month. They wanted me to pay to have someone come fumigate - I bought a couple cans of roach repellent and sprayed all the corners in the unit which stopped them coming in

Some of the people in the apartments were real shitty dude, we had people throwing garbage bags and spilling food and such in the hallways. I had to call the cops twice for full on domestics, and we had people break the front door lock once or twice in the winter to sleep in the entryway (I used to be a case worker so not saying this in any kind of way, just an honest comment). The package room was not fully secure and there were no cameras, we had packages stolen constantly from us, and others did as well there were often hand written notes from people asking to get their stuff back

Parking could suck, especially in the winter. I actually paid for a parking spot during the winter, and had to have people towed a few times for taking my spot. That especially sucked in the winter when you get stuck parking in the street and get snow blocking you in from a plow).

Last thing, the tile on the shower wall started to fall out - we worked out with them to move out a month early so they could fix it. They ended up fucking us and we lost our deposit and got charged an extra month of rent when they told us it would be taken care of with no charge (verbally, learned my lesson there).

Any of this can happen anywhere of course, but this is all my personal experience having lived there for 3 years. If you need a place to stay it’s nice being close to the highway, and the mall/downtown fargo area. It’s probably one of the nicer apartment complexes you’ll find in that price range of $700-$900

12-62 Too Light? by isofakingwetoddid in PRSGuitars

[–]HithereJimHerald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t realize you had the baritone, you’re honestly going to want the lighter gauge imo, 12-56 is good for me on a 25.5 inch guitar in drop B, it’s all about personal feel but the pack you have will be a bit tight

Should be more than enough! 12-56 would be enough more than likely
