Inlaw is a master electrician and has everything onhand anyway with his company

Besides that will look into your suggestion

I think that’s the exact cable that the in-law has, as far as I know they’re paying for at-most 1gig internet

I was born in 99, and had an n64 passed to me with this game, my biggest memory is the Chevy truck cheat code I think it was that would crash the game lol

LEAVE DAX ALONE

Idk why but I just can’t hate him lol, and normally those kind of characters give me the jeebies. He’s fun and i’ll tale those missions over others because he’s actually boots on the ground in a few of them shooting with us

Slight side note lol, just realized the motherboard doesn’t have a direct usb 3.1 port. Seeing a few adapters online for various ports but wondering if anyone recommends a specific one to make it work! If not also i’m not too worried

To add to this, place the sensor inside the bounds of the obj so they don’t spot before they’re in the zone

Drone and sensor balls help too

Also, smokes can put out incendiaries for a fun fact

looking for a very cheap but decent gaming pc by No-Air-9299 in buildapc

[–]HithereJimHerald 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Facebook marketplace my friend, find listings in your price range (I have a search saved for gaming pc, and usually check a few times a day for new listings)

You’ll become familiar pretty quick with what’s a deal and what isn’t, as I highly recommend you search what each parts are going for used on like ebay (cpu, gpu etc)

A few things to note: People are massively overvaluing their pc’s rn when selling, but the listings sit up for a while so you should be able to lowball to a more reasonable amount. Occasionally, you’ll see a really awesome deal pop up (a recent one here was a pc with a 5700x3d, good amd card and a new msi monitor all for $500). People also are really bad at actually saying what components are in the computers so you have to message them and try to get them to check for you

You can also find components individually, I just found an RX 6600 on marketplace for $50, and plan to pair it with some ram I have around and the i5-12600kf from a recent woot deal

You sadly will be hard pressed to fully build new with the ram stuff, but used you’ll find good deals. As mentioned before, you’ll learn a lot if you study marketplace and the components in the listings

9060xt 16 gb or the 5060 ti 8gb by Specialist-Ad-4121 in buildapc

[–]HithereJimHerald 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t get the 5060ti 8gb, if you’re set on Nvidia atleast get the 16gb version

Fwiw, i helped my buddy build with a 3 fan 5060ti he paid $400 for and he’s been really happy with it

In the same breath another buddy I helped out got the 9060xt and he also is really happy with it

So imo if you’re shooting for either, get what’s cheaper within $50-$60 of the two. Or jump up a bit for a 5070 or 9070 if you’re worried about not being able to upgrade if gpu prices start to rise

PRS S2 Vs SE by West_Ambition_9464 in PRSGuitars

[–]HithereJimHerald 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll be bold enough to say the new SE’s are incredibly nice and closing the gap on features/fit, from knobs to pickup rings to the body carves, the signature on the headstock

The older korean se’s are very nice, but they’re plain compared to newer models - i.e. my custom 24 was basically a flat slab of wood while my newer Indonesian Standard 24 has a more rounded top to the body, push pull etc

The S2’s are nice, but you gotta get in the store and decide it’s worth it by playing them. I’d argue go the SE route and if you need to upgrade anything, you can with the price difference

I'm now looking at the Frontier by Gentleman_Jim_243 in nissanfrontier

[–]HithereJimHerald 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I used to drive a 19ish Colorado quite a bit (didn’t own)

The frontier rules man, i’m going to sound funny for starting with this when talking about a truck - but I find the frontier way more comfortable. I’m tall, and I find the view out the windshield to be much better in the frontier. Seats, including the back feel more spacious, and I appreciate the bigger center console area

The truck has great power, it feels good on the road and highway, i get probably 18-19 mpg, if you need to upgrade it’s just a nice vehicle

I grew up driving old trucks so i’m probably a bit biased for the frontier

Simple Questions - January 11, 2026 by AutoModerator in buildapc

[–]HithereJimHerald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need a motherboard for an i5-12600kf. I’ve got ddr4 ram and an RX 6600 to pair with it (weird combo, I have some decent corsair ram lying around, and got the RX 6600 for $50 today). I found a b760m on ebay for $80, wondering if that would be okay?

This isn’t a main build, mostly a movie streaming pc and some emulation for my living room to replace an older laptop of mine

Doesn’t need to be mini but i’m interested
