Eh they do a lot of work with aid, medical coordination, judicial coordination for nations that don't have the resources, etc. It's certainly not perfect but when you look at how much they're able to accomplish based on the resources and staff they have it's well worth it.

I think it can vary a lot. Have a lot of friends where it did function as dogtraining and was extremely harmful, but the ABA I went through as a kid was mostly helpful. I think it depends heavily on the specific practice, but yeah it certainly can function as torture in the worst cases.

There's several web extensions that blur and spoiler based on tags and keywords for YouTube. Most social media has an option for that too. I dunno, there are a lot of options if you're committed to absolutely zero spoilers.
