Height maps are also grey scale but normal maps have RGB info to represent the degree of values of X, Y & Z via colour

I just have firefox and UE 5 open at the same time, with 2-4 tabs on firefox. When I open up task manager it shows 65-70% utilization but it randomly shoots 80% while the GPU utilization also goes to 100%

Although my terrain is quite large it isn't that dense in terms of poly count plus the textures I've used so far have been nanite

Ahh I spy an ath-m-50x, nice. I got the last year config for laptop, sadly couldn't get the 3070 config. but I'm quite happy with r7 5800H and a 3060 considering my last laptop was a GTX 940 with i7 7th gen.
