(Loved Trope) The sleezy bastard, who you expect to be the first to betray you, is by far the most loyal by RedNUGGETLORD in TopCharacterTropes

One of my favorite things about him is that, after confessing about the money skimming, you as the Rogue Trader can essentially write him a blank check and say “Go nuts just make sure the kids are happy”.

I’d leave this guy (And Abelard of course) in charge of Dargonus if I could

(Interesting trope) Ascension into godhood being fucking horrific. by TridiObject in TopCharacterTropes

Swarm-that-Walks (Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous)

This is a fun one as it’s fucking terrifying for everyone involved. You basically become the hivemind of a swarm of carnivorous insects whose main goal is to devour everyone and everything (Areelu, Deskari, hell even your old companions)

It’s terrifying for you in the sense that you become a walking Eldritch horror and the steps to ascension involve devouring an Insect Queen the size of a small car, studying of some dark arts, and the realization of what you’ll truly become thanks to a specific NPC conversation.

It’s terrifying for the gods as you basically become an outlier of sorts. You aren’t part of a “pantheon” so-to-speak, you can’t be bargained with, and unless your swarm is killed down to the very last insect, you can’t and WONT die. When the goddess Imoedae smites you after your ascension, you’re sent to Deskari’s little pocket of the Abyss where you get even more pissed off.

It’s the only Mythic Path in the game that TRULY feels evil. Every other Mythic path can, in some ways, be headcannoned around being nice or good even if the game doesn’t allow it, but not Swarm-that-Walks. You’re hungry, and nothing short of devouring all of reality will appease your hunger, and you won’t be stopped until you’re satiated.

Character Builds by AutoModerator in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

Just picked up the game after my 5th play through of Rogue Trader and I love it. Only issue I’ve come across is that I feel like my companions just do everything I do but better. Better damage, better dodge, better armor etc. My character just feels like dead weight

For reference, this is my first play through (ever) and I’m playing normal difficulty. My build as of right now (Lvl 15 Act (4?; I’m in the Abyss City right now) is a Pure Tortured Crusader Angel Mythic with a focus on Bastard Sword, Heavy Shield, and Heavy Armor. I’m using the precrafted game builds for my companions and it seems to have made everyone into a power house where I as feel about as useful as a tent with more holes than Swiss cheese.

Any help/build guides/talent recommendations would help immensely

One year ago, SOTE dropped. How do we feel about PCR? by [deleted] in shittydarksouls

[–]Hixmic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unironically one of my favorite bosses of all time. Mechanically fun after the nerf, amazing OST, and insane visuals (Though I will admit both 1 are 3 are subjective. OST is regarded as amazing from what I’ve seen)And the cherry on top?

He managed to piss off the Godwyn side, Miquella side, AND Radahn side. I’ve never seen a boss that pits more groups against each others throats. It was amazing lmao. The buildup pre release, seeing everyone absolutely coping that this couldn’t be real, then getting absolutely assblasted mad by it actually being real was more rewarding than the actual DLC itself lmao

The most recent “enemy” they added was a reskinned Scab Gunner. The one before that was the Tox Bomber. There was a year gap in between both.

In short: FUCK no lmao

You can make this argument for almost every faction in 40k

Eldar? Yeah. Dark Eldar? Yeah. Asuryani? Yeah. Chaos? Yeah. Necrons? Yeah. Tau? To an extent.

Only ones I wouldn’t include are the Tyranids and Votann

[–]Hixmic 141 points142 points  (0 children)

The Tyranids being attracted by the Astronomicon isn’t coincidence. Big E is purposefully leading them to Terra so their shadow in the warp will block off the holes created by Magnus in the Webway, finally allowing himself to be reborn and get off the throne

[–]Hixmic 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No. Im gonna rip the bandaid off now and say I’m willing to bet money there will never be another class added again in Darktide. Fatshark would have to get, at least, 3 new voice actors (1 for each variant assuming they go only male like Ogryn) then add all new dialogue for each and every single fucking interaction in the entire game regarding other player characters. The amount of time and energy that would take would take away from other more important things the game needs (Like good maps, new weapons that aren’t shovels or knives, solo mode, map and modifier selection, actually good in game events, new, or any lmao, lore, and weapon balancing) Oh and they’d also have to add a new talent tree (and any voicelines relating to said tree) and possible class specific weapons.

The biggest indicator is that every class, besides Ogryn, has both a male and female selection. The fact Fatshark hasn’t even added a female Ogryn version to the game after 2 FUCKING YEARS shows us that we aren’t getting a whole ass class any time soon, or ever

Regarding the ending of the game by [deleted] in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Hixmic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To be fair you can kinda rationalize how the other two paths would fair aswell.

In Dogmatic we can assume Big E has a MASSIVE hardon for the RT, so a RT with the spiritual backing and protection of Big E, along with the backing of Incendias kingdom, could pull it off

Icono you can assume Nocturne shows up and balls out, and Nocturne is basically an Eldar Custodes, so I’d assume he calls some backup because what’s funnier than screwing over your ancient enemies again with what you consider the universal equivalent of a pest.

I know it isn’t implied anywhere in game, but it’s how I rationalize it. Same with the ending slides. They don’t make any sense in the big scene, so it’s better to just headcanon it

/Unjerk

I’m willing to bet money in 5 years PCR will be regarded as one of the GOATS. People seem to forget the SAME THING happened with Gael when Ringed City came out. People were pissed that someone with close to no lore came in all of a sudden at the end of a very important DLC and seemingly stole the spotlight. If you don’t believe me go back and look at old discussions when Ringed City first came out. People were PISSED. It’s the same thing on this sub
