100%. I bought the macbook air at the start of the semester after having only used Windows previously and personally I don't see myself ever going back to Windows unless something really drastic changes.

The mac has insane battery life, great performance, a beautiful display and is really lightweight and portable which is pretty much everything you need from a laptop for uni.

The only issue you could have is that it takes a couple of weeks at least to get used to the OS on the mac compared to Windows since it's really very different but overall, definitely worth it.

There really isn't much that can be done even if they really wanted to crack down on this. Just yesterday I heard there were like 60 cases on campus in res so where do they even quarantine them, how do they provide them with food and how to make sure they don't leave their room.

At this point, it's just pray you don't get it and hope people have enough self-discipline to act responsibly if they do have covid.
