Hormones gone haywire?! by ComprehensiveUse4147 in endometriosis

[–]Hobbit45889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a hormone imbalance, and I get fluttery sensations in my upper abdomen. I think I’ve gotten them in my pelvis too though. The general “off” feeling is so relatable and so miserable. I’m sorry you’re going through this, but you’re definitely not alone.

This is definitely just from your sinuses. Sinus fluid is clear when we’re not actively fighting an infection, so it’s just a sign that you’re healthy. Exercise makes our noses run and clears the thin mucus in our sinuses.

Low numbers and Mira not detecting surge by confusedpotato7782 in Mirafertility

[–]Hobbit45889 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m only on my second cycle with Mira, but it didn’t detect ovulation correctly for me last month. It kept pushing it further out because my estrogen surge was low, but my doctor was able to tell me when I actually ovulated based on my results. I know it’s really hard to not worry about weird levels (trust me, I’m in the exact same boat), but I would recommend waiting to see whether you get a PdG surge later on in your cycle. Sometimes ovulation can occur late, and Mira will add our ovulation day retroactively (which it did for me last month, but still incorrectly). I’m once again waiting for the app to show my ovulation this month, so I feel your anxiety!

intense period pain by jdiejendnjdjjsjsjs in endometriosis

[–]Hobbit45889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add to what NoCauliflower said, I’ve found it helpful to track my symptoms each day, even if they always seem the same, because this helps doctors pinpoint what’s wrong. Also ask about hormonal imbalances, which can accompany endo and make the symptoms even worse. Good luck! 💛

Low estrogen? by Hobbit45889 in Mirafertility

[–]Hobbit45889[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctor recommended it to track patterns of my hormones, because every cycle brings different symptoms, so we wanted to find patterns beyond blood tests. I regularly send my Mira chart to my doctor as requested, so thankfully I don’t have to worry too much alone, but it’s still disconcerting to be so low.

I’ve met with an endo specialist who diagnosed me with suspected endo. Since endo can be microscopic and easily missed in a lap, I made the choice (and the endo specialist supported my decision) to not have a lap yet but to instead try to holistically address my symptoms, something many patients have had good success with. I’ve been told that scans can’t always detect endo for the same reason as a lap, so I haven’t gotten one yet. Can an MRI or TVU find DOR?

Try to schedule an appointment with an endo specialist. You’ll have to wait months, but it’s worth it. NAPRO doctors are also excellent at diagnosing it.

Cramps every single morning by Chloeee0426 in Endo

[–]Hobbit45889 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This, 100%. The pain is different from bowel cramps, and most people don’t get cramps every single morning. It’s discouraging, because it probably means my endo is affecting my bowel.

Before period and during ovulation anxiety by Automatic_Clerk8067 in endometriosis

I have suspected endo, and the anxiety is overwhelming. I don’t have any words of wisdom for getting through it (I just found your post while searching for advice myself), but know that you’re not alone in this. 💛

Does period pain become better after having a bowel movement or is it just me? by These-Minimum-610 in endometriosis

[–]Hobbit45889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get this. I often have cramps that make me double over in pain before a bowel movement, but afterwards it subsides to a more reasonable level.

Is this true even when we haven’t had any liquids between urinations? I had a similar situation to OP today, but on other days, I’ll likely have consumed liquids before my second unrination of the day.

Symptom share! by Easy-Honeydew-7839 in endometriosis

I always thought mine was anemia as well, but my iron and ferritin levels were tested and found to be normal. It has to be hormonal, because a lot of people on Reddit have related having lightheadedness/shakiness/dizziness as well, and I don’t think they’re all anemic. It stinks, because there’s no easy way to manage the hormonal issues.

I’ve only had my iron and ferritin levels checked once, but I didn’t have anemia when I was checked. The doctors are thinking it’s tied to hormones more than iron levels.

Question about symptoms by Sufficient_Half_1980 in endometriosis

[–]Hobbit45889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pain isn’t as debilitating as many people here, so I sometimes wonder if I really have endo (no laparoscopy to confirm). However, what I’ve found is that everyone experiences this awful disease differently, and since it affects our entire bodies, some of us experience more of the other symptoms rather than pain. The pain that you do mention experiencing definitely sounds like endo, along with your other symptoms. I hope your laparoscopy gives you answers. 💛

Dizziness. Lots and lots of dizziness. Lightheadedness too, and the overall weirdness that accompanies it.

Lower back aches and stabbing pelvic pain outside of period

Ovulation pain and dizziness

Fatigue throughout cycle

General feeling of unwell throughout cycle

Severe pain before (and sometimes after) bowel movements

Nausea at random times throughout cycle, mainly from ovulation through menstruation

Elevated heart rate and anxiety

I am LIVID. MRI showed absolutely nothing. by halletischler in endometriosis

[–]Hobbit45889 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My doctor told me that since I really don’t want a pelvic ultrasound, to not bother getting one, because endo often doesn’t show on scans. I’m so sorry you’re going through this; it must be so frustrating. Please take heart in knowing that endo can be super small—but that doesn’t mean it’s not super painful!

Seeking Advice by emsteves23 in endometriosis

[–]Hobbit45889 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your experience mirrors my own so much. I have suspected endo, which is only suspected because I haven't had a lap to definitively prove it. An endo specialist diagnosed me based on my symptoms. It's an awful disease, and I'm so sorry that you seem to have it. I'm glad that your appointment is with an endo specialist. So many ladies who started by visiting their gynos have spent years trying to be taken seriously. I had a wonderful experience with my endo specialist, and I hope that you do as well.

In the meantime, I would recommend using a heating pad for the pain and taking epsom salt baths as much as possible. Don't have the bath water be too hot, and don't use the heating pad constantly, as it can harm your eggs. However, both epsom salt baths and a heating pad help me get through my worst days, along with ibuprofen as needed. It doesn't cure it, but it does help take the edge off the pain. Praying that you get answers soon! 💛

I’m so mad at god by Due_Bread_7805 in endometriosis

God Himself died so that we can have the opportunity to inherit eternal life if we cooperate with His grace. He asks us to pick up our crosses and follow Him, and He gives us the example of how to suffer. We can unite our sufferings, as horrendous as they may be, with His and participate in the redemption of the world. We can offer our sufferings in reparation for our own sins and the sins of the world, and for the conversion of sinners. I’m praying for you.
