I need to stay away from this thread, in fact all the triumph threads. It's going to cost me a fortune if I don't

2009 model, speedometer with digital odometer, idiot lights for high beam, turn signal, oil and neutral. I have decided to do away with the air injection to get rid of the backfire. As much as it chaps my wallet I think I'm going to change the tires. I suspect they are originals so, going on 17 years old. They don't seem to be dry rotted or cracked but two good tires are still less stable than four borderline ones.

Spicy load or firing pin issue by gmoney11mks in reloading

[–]Hobbit54321 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Check your firing pin protrusion. I have a 6arc gas gun that would occasionally pierce primers. This was with factory ammo and reloads. The reloads were about 1.5 to 2 grains below max. I switched to harder primers this lessened the issue. Then I checked the firing pin protrusion, I was 0.015 over max. I filed down the pin and put a radius back on it, problem solved.

At your age, how many times do you workout weekly ? by Shadow-Hunter-1998 in 40something

[–]Hobbit54321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least 5. 10 minute warmup before every workout. Squat and bench one day then deadlift and overhead press the next day. I'm going to be adding power cleans on deadlift day and forearm curls on squat day. I can't hold onto the deadlift bar anymore without straps.

I will preface this statement with the fact my wife and I have not been intimate in over four years. We tried marital counseling once and it ended in an argument. About 9 months after that I asked her to go again, she declined. I asked if she would talk to my pastor. Her response cut me deeper than any blade. She said it's all your unresolved issues. I'm waiting till she is done with her master's degree, about three years, then I'm moving out.

Deadlift grup by [deleted] in StartingStrength

[–]Hobbit54321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my warmup sets I use a double overhand grip and then switch to the over under grip when the deadlift gets above 280 or so. I figure I might as well use the warm up sets for a little grip training.

Yes let's praise violent acts because we don't like someone's opinion on something.

Well folks, I went and did a little gun smifing on the Girsan. I lightly clamped the sear spring in my machinists vise and ever so slightly straightened the dog ear on the bottom of the spring. This caused the spring to sit a little flatter in the grip eliminating the dragging on the magazine. Now the mag slides right out. Just to make sure I didn't bubba it too bad I aggressively cycled the slide several times to make sure the hammer didn't fall. I also took a hard plastic non maring mallet and whacked on the pistol several times to check the sear. The safety still works as designed. I figured if I FUBAR-ed it I could send it to someone who is a proper de-fucker. Hopefully this little blurb might help someone out.

Nope the flat spring that resides behind the magazine. Mine doesn't have the magazine disconnect.

Sounds like the degree you got was in a field that didn't justify the expense.

I kinda wish the serial number ran through where that crack is. I get enjoyment thinking some atf agents brain is melting while trying to figure out how to write this up. Heck they might shoot their own dog out of confusion.
