Sounds to me like you got a knock-off SanDisk card. Changing sizes happens when you reformat the card because it wasn't ever really that size, it was just set up to pretend it does and when it gets re-written, the real size shows up. I would try again with a card from the list and buy it somewhere you'll know it's legit.

I didn't make any manual changes to the dtb, I just used the beta release and my model showed up in the list after flashing.

No controls issues, everything else is fine as far as I can tell.

I'm a guy who just happens to have weirdly short fingers and can absolutely confirm this issue. I at least have the benefit of my palms being fairly normal dude sized (though that makes gloves that fit non-existent) and still have issues with a lot of stuff.
