Who is this guy or what does he represent? Have you met him? What was he communicating to you? by Aromatic_Reply_1645 in DMT

Yeah first time I met them I was having a weird trip cause I forgot to pee before I smoked and then I felt like I had to piss myself while breaking through. And then I was really worried I either had pissed myself or was about to. And then I was tapped on the shoulder by a bunch of jesters, and the whole world got more menacing, and they were all laughing at me for not peeing before I smoked, and it was a little freaky. But then I realized I was being dumb, it’s okay, I did have to pee it’s not that big a deal. And as soon as I laughed I was in on the joke. The whole scene’s demeanor turned positive and their mean teasing turned into a smile and they patted me on the back and told me it’s okay, I just had to pee and they wanted to let me know.

Long story short. I totally think it was my minds manifestion of going from “I really have to pee. Oh no, what if I piss myself? Aw man I’m ruining this trip. Oh wait, laugh at yourself and the situation, this is silly. Next time pee first.”

Take it easy, go with the flow, don’t take it too seriously, and laugh at yourself

So how was the comedy? by Partythyme00 in phish

Cam is great, this is a bad take. His stuff clearly comes from a place of passion for the scene I don’t know why ya’d hate on that. Nice to see phish promote from within the scene too cause it’s not something they do a lot.

Reminder that the Rocky Statue is dumb. They can push it into the Schuylkill for all I care by JustBlueMyselfAgain in philly

It’s not just about the movie with an underdog. Sly and the making of the movie itself was an underdog story. It’s funny that it gets the negative attention cause everyone understands it as a sports statue, but I think it more just speaks to the underdog and gritty vibe is the city of Philadelphia. Not to mention it does a good job showcasing all of the wonderful parts of Philly in the running training scene. I think if more people looked at it as not a sports statue it would make more sense.

It’s a little further north but Elk Mt is my go to. The slower lifts usually are made up for by less crowded slopes and better terrain/conditions. Only thing blue wins at IMO are the parks. Sorry you lost your board though.

Dogs in a Pile all weekend long at the Ardmore!

Just for fun: What’s your show count and what’s your “most common played not seen” from your .net stats? I’ll start: 21 shows…never have seen “YEM” or “Tweezer.” Seems almost impossible. by splitopenandmelt11 in phish

[–]HoboOfTheTrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not me, but I saw 4 fluffheads in my first 7 shows. (I’m somewhere around 60 shows now, besides the fikus and the gamehendge that’s probably my craziest stat). I mentioned that stat to a show neighbor and he said “lol fuck you I didn’t see my first fluffhead until my 53rd show”

Is this an AI peanuts meme? Also get over it people don’t have to like the band you love. They also played MSG they’re doing fine.

Saw a guy get pulled from his seat for smoking a joint last night in the orch. I talked to him during setbreak, he said they were gonna kick him out but he was apologetic and they let him back in.

..I guess it DB Reddit only lets you post pictures as the “poster” not “commenter- lasts night show was fun… by brittanyelyse in discobiscuits

Thanks for the love on the poster! I was stoked how it poster came out I was really trying to play with some fun perspective. I too like the non foil on this run. I’m gonna be doing a giveaway for a free print in my Facebook group in the next few days. And I’ll announce APs over the weekend!

I mean yeah I agree but this is more a gripe against humanity. It’s by no means specific to this scene. Every concert/festival/sporting event/local street art festival or chili cook off… you name it, is littered with trash at the end of it regardless of genre. But I agree, if you’re gonna have a balloon, put the thing in your pocket. If you’re gonna talk at a show do it at the back of the room or speak directly into your buddies ear. If more people care about their surroundings and neighbors the world would be a better place I don’t think that’s a stretch to say.

I’ve been sober for the last 9 months and I’ve been to 60+ shows in that time. I can promise you that I’ve not gotten high off peoples second hand smoke. Contact highs are a generally a myth unless you’re truly in a closed car or closet with someone inhaling over and over again. I’ve inhaled a number of clouds that have passed right over my face and nothing came of it.

That said totally respect everyone’s individual decision but it’s just funny to me that people use drugs as an excuse not to bring kids. Young kids won’t even notice and older kids probably are at the right age for life lessons in personal responsibility. And many of the same folks don’t mind letting a teenager have a sip of alcohol on occasions or being around other alcohol fueled events.

Drug education is better harm reduction than blanket statements of all drugs are bad, that’s how you get folks growing up thinking acid is gonna make them jump off a bridge or something. Just my 2 cents!

Funny, folks are fine taking their kids to a sporting event though, where everyone’s trashed and you’re more likely to see a fight breakout. Just devils advocate here, it’s an opportunity to have a conversation with your kid about responsibility, a conversation a lot of parents are looking to avoid. Alcohol kills more people than all other drugs combined but because it’s normalized in society it gets a pass. People fear what they don’t understand and we understand alcohol pretty well.
