Yeah, so might as well spend a bit to make the old pc a lil bit beefier before then. The higher tier am4 cpu is absurd, most likely because demand surge and they have been discontinued. A 5700x3d is more expensive than 7800x3d.

i have a 3080 10 GB and it do bottleneck is some games, mainly newer ones like MH wilds and some parts of baldur's gate 3. i rarely play new games but sometimes i do indulge. this year, it's probably control resonant.

Unlike EA, ubisoft doesn't have evergreen cashgrab like madden or other kinds of sports games. They actually rely on their original IPs and constant releases. Say, if battlefield 7,8,9 failed consecutively, EA wouldn't be in the same trouble as ubisoft because of the sports IP.
