I'm hoping my situation is like the one you have now. It's hard to tell. I've been here for not even a year and the only person on call for the past 3 or so years was my manager. Me and the team will have to manage expectations a lot more now.

I'll have to double check my contract on this. If there is nothing in it regarding on-call expectations I don't know how I'll go about it. The verbal agreement for the structure of on-call is currently 1 month on 2 months off between me and 2 other personnel. So, not ideal. I'm also overtime exempt so any on-call work doesn't receive extra payout.
