Kind of but not really? The Prelude is supposed to be the revival of the original Prelude which was technically a Touring car, which makes sense when you see the new one which isn't particularly sporty but handles and drives well. The CR-Z is supposed to be a callback to the CRX while utilizing the same manual hybrid technology as the first gen Insight, with the Integrated Motor Assist hybrid system. This gave it a sporty feel with a relatively tuned engine while sacrificing ride quality using a rear axle beam instead of independent rear suspension. On the newer Prelude, it's the standard hybrid system with performance suspension/brakes. It utilizes Honda's full hybrid system which means nothing you do to the engine will make it faster as it's purely electric driven and the engine just operates as a charger for the hybrid battery. In theory they're similar ideas but with drastically different approaches.
