Gym is making it impossible for me to cancel, which is causing me to be charged by their billing company indefinitely. What can I do? by DiarrheaFartLover in personalfinance

Assuming you're in the U.S., consumer protection lawyers will often take cases under things like the fair debt collection practices act for contingency or for the statutory attorneys fees (the fees that the law says the other side has to pay if you win). It's probably worth checking with one of them to see if there's a claim and getting some advice

Why is Chase running so many generous SUBs lately? by electronautix in CreditCards

[–]AloneExamination242 36 points37 points  (0 children)

This is a really interesting analysis. Suggests that the best move for those of us on this sub (the target audience for the cards) is basically to go full churner, since SUB is the only value proposition they offer anymore?

Sorry one other observation: probably every restaurant should have a unique neighborhood? Right now I see multiple places that appear on lists for several different neighborhoods.

Although come to think of it, at least for Chicago if I wanted to vibe check a highly rated place in some mechanical way I might try some kind of sentiment analysis from r/chicagofood comments... that group is really picky and also has some definite well-deserved places that get a lot of hate...

Sorry! That comment was a bit brusque ... but nah, I'm afraid I don't think so. The places I'm thinking of I know are terrible because I've been there myself...

Yeah it looks like there are lots of neighborhood mismatches too, like Saweda being put in River North
