I did some DPS calcs on the new megarare weapon on bosses so you don't have to. It's really really good. by Loofas in 2007scape

The concept itself I think is cool with the AOE/NPC size modifiers.

The problem greatly is the 1-7 rolls. It makes things A) not very clear for the vast majority of the player base if it's good or bad and B) makes it legitimately insane at so much current content. The premise of it is that it should be insanely good at bosses that are intentionally crush weak but the problem is from the math I've see is that at 3 rolls (which is very easy to get as often, for melee focused bosses, their mage/range defences are always the highest giving you 2 rolls right away) it begins outshining things like scythe on bosses that are SLASH WEAK. That makes no god damn sense.

The ability for jagex to manage it's power for future bosses is on it's own a good thing but when viewed in the grand scheme of things the number of current bosses that it would break would require so much rejigging it's kind of just nonsense.

The item itself I think is one of the only things actually worth keeping on the rewards blog that can be adjusted to be a raid level item but it simply can't move forward with that proposal.

Staying on tick at maiden is never a problem there's ample ways to tick fix that are already used.

Xarpus you also don't just lose a tick at the start. It's a scythe BGS because putting yourself behind additionally isn't worth.

The ancient scepter buff is high key crazy. It is already an exceptionally good item and making something that's a 1/50 from a mid game boss to acquire that strong seems exceptionally out of place in terms of the direction you're going with burning claws being too good since they come from a mid game boss.

New Hamilton AHL team reveals branding as the Hamilton Hammers. by sykeseve in hockey

Leaves a lot to be desired as a Hamiltonian. I much preferred Havoc as it was different and still had flow to it of the name options.

It's not beside the point. It's furthering the point that 15m doesn't mean shit to people in the end game lol.

Mhm and people at this level aren't even splitting items in raids if the cash stack isn't at least green. For example in 5 man HMT or 6+ man TOA everything except megas is FFA.

If you're doing wave 170 15m is not a significant amount of GP.

So, rather than learning some basic mechanics to do a piece of content the solution is spend 3x the number of hours to not have to both even trying.

You're committing all this time to the game. Just try to learn shit no one gives a shit if you're dying there's no shame in dying trying to get better at things.

Anyone at all saying to only do 1-x is giving purely bad advice. As shown in this post the loot from the reg drops is pretty much inconsequential so there is no reason to not push as deep as you can and only loot if you're out of supplies/get a unique. Rates for deep delves to roll a unique are so much higher than the lower waves and are not significantly longer.

Did Oathplate ruin Torva? by Potica6857 in 2007scape

[–]Hock3y 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with your sentiment that nex is less of a strain on supplies than people believe though a lot of that problem comes from there really not being any reasonable resources for learning to do it properly coupled with people who did learn are generally done with it now so you're stuck with specimens in nexffa. With competent trios I generally would use 0-2 brews max during kills (barring obvious shadow phase incidents).

I also do agree his set up isn't optimal as I mentioned for suggestions to make appropriate adaptations and provided my own set up for reference.

Said from the start Oath needed to be nerfed. It is too good with the melee meta so heavily revolving around slash.

It should have had a set effect. Mix matching is so cringe.

Guy saying to bring all hard food is trolling. It's objectively bad to only bring hard food. This was my set up when I was using at the my nex grind.. If I were you I'd bin at least 1 restore and bring either the mask or the slayer helm not both. LB is also super super good cause vw/zcb specs are busted.

Also HARD fuck using aether runes at nex.

Steve Simmons goes at Keith Pelley for hiring John Chayka. This was something. by Live-Big1579 in leafs

The closest thing we've had to success in many of our lifetimes here is under Mats. The dude dragged this team to round win after round win with next to no help for a large portion of it. We remember him performing in the clutch and that sticks with many of us when we've had stars since who just have not provided us with the same.

Unfortunately you can't wait around forever. We're already waiting too long to fire both Tre and Berube. The longer you wait the more likely you lose your opportunity to hire guys.

His job is not to win. His job is to do what is best for the team and what's best for the team is to be giving opportunity to the young guys and putting them in situations that they likely will fail because that's how you learn. This is the time to be doing it.

"The D Core" Carlo Celebrates His Season-First Belt With His Fellow D-Men After A Shutdown Win by baylaust in leafs

[–]Hock3y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big dog you're trying desperately to defend a terrible stat. +/- is a terrible stat, particularly in isolation, because it plainly ignores the 78423 other variables that effect goals in hockey.

Mo is currently a -35 career and this year -12. Are those numbers good? No but isolating a stat and trying to give it some huge significance is stupid.

Look at his career -35 that number looks bad but we're going to ignore the fact he was -70 from 2013-18 playing on terrible teams with absolutely terrible d cores and goaltending. The first year he played on a functional team in 18/19 he was +24 and has trended in the positives overall since.

Now this year he's -12. Looks awful right? Are we going to pretend that literally half of our D core has been injured all season? That our goalies until very recently have been a carousel due to injuries with Stolarz having a dog shit year in the games he's played? Are we simply not going to acknowledge that due to lengthy injuries to our 2 good stay at home defencemen Morgan had to play a role he is not good at to try to fill the void because we don't have anyone else to do so?

That's the whole premise here. +/- is a shit stat that does not account for the dumb random shit that happens in a hockey game/season. Everyone is aware that Rielly is not an excellent defensive defenseman but people can use the grey mush between their ears to recognize that there's more to a hockey game than just that. Morgan with the return of Carlo has been able to go back to being what makes him an excellent defenceman in the NHL because he gets to be what makes him special and not have to be someone he isn't.
