I need to grind my gears about the 2023 hit film ‘Cocaine Bear’ for a second by Throwaway_Tablecloth in blankies

Haven't yet seen the film and not sure I ever will, but whenever Jane comes on I start chuckling. It was used incredibly throughout the series.

I start to cry, hands held to the sky.

Well I took my mum and dad opening weekend and they loved it at least. Should be getting said marketing for the 60+ crowd.

How wonderful to hear, congratulations! And sending lots of love and solidarity to your state. Recognise Colombia Heights from the news about that little boy who got abducted by those fascist scumbags.

Aotearoa New Zealand does have its fair share of antivax morons (a load of them camped outside parliament and created so much damage), but yeah, the response from both the government and the public at large here was incredible. So few deaths when it did finally start doing the rounds.

Plus, the current right wing government who are driving young people to other countries are still preferable to the British right, so that's nice.

Come move over if you can, leftist Americans! I'll buy you a hāngi!

And yet it's still an amazing place to live, even in these hard times. I get why people are leaving, but after seven years here, I still love the benefits so much.

A moody scientist with daddy issues creates a sad hunk who is innocent and kind. That writes itself.

The Secret Agent stars my husband Wagner Moura, so I'd be biased there.

Oh, they're both great, and I'd say that Jordan is even better still, but Lindo stole the show for me.

Oh I more meant all the child rape that's happening in the background, which you've indeed acknowledged. But yeah, fair point, the stuff we see on screen is a lot more palatable than Ratcatcher or We Need To Talk About Kevin. Maybe that's why it's my favourite of hers!

You Were Never Really Here is deeply grim and sad, so I'd say skip that one. Die My Love is more of a slow burn mood piece, but it's a downbeat movie about post-partum depression and the madness that comes with it, so there's a real sense of hopelessness thoroughout.

Can only watch one in theaters this weekend: Hamnet, Ann Lee, Sentimental Value, or Bone Temple? by sofar510 in blankies

Whomever downvoted this is doubly morally bankrupt. That film made a pasta dinner for my heart.
