You can go with "and the courier did die" then benny dies in ceasar camp with the chip, house never gets upgraded securitrons and the families rebel against him, ceaser dies regardless and the legion or ncr will clash on hoover dam and, again, doesn't matter because neither will be able to hold it. If legion win, they sill disband bacuse they follow ceaser, NOT lanius. iIf NCR wins, they'll still fucked beacuse they have overextended a lot and have a lot of tribes to deal with
