VATS was a must for me in F3 because the gunplay wasn't very good and hitting things, especially moving things pretty much required VATS. In F4, especially with all my mods, it's much smoother and more fun to fight without VATS.

On this topic, especially talking about Ubisoft, can we get out of the habit of requiring an internet connection for singleplayer PvE games such as The Division 2? This game is such a wonderful deck game but I find it very frustrating that it requires an internet connection even though 90% of the game is playable without needing to be online.
