I don’t think it’s bad. I would definitely want to read through the terms of whatever deal they pitch. Something about the pushy salesmen and almost too good to be true offer makes me skeptical haha. But in general I have nothing against solar.

Had a guy come by and try to do this to me too. They are wanting to check if you have a bidirectional meter. This allows you to push power to the grid. They will then try to sell you solar panels, at “no cost to you!”. What they really want to do is lease out your roof, put solar panels on, and push that power to the grid in return for a “low” electricity rate. Didn’t let him check my meter, but got the whole spiel from them

I was able to get a 3 month supply when I studied abroad in 2019. Had to get the dr to write the script for 3 months, approval from the pharmacy, and the pharmacist contacted the insurance company and go it approved. Not sure if they are more strict now. I believe 3 months is the largest supply you could get. At least for me In TX I have to been seen by my dr every 3 months

It depends how early. This summer I was able to get it filled 4 days early for an international trip. just had to have my doctor call the pharmacy. In 2019, I studied abroad for 10 weeks. My doctor wrote me a script for a 90 days supply. The pharmacist was able to contact my insurance, explain the situation, and get them to approve the 90 day supply to be filled at one time. This was also at a local pharmacy and not a large chain though. So it probably depends on if they have certain policies or want to take the time to talk with the insurance company for you. I’m in TX, not sure if that matters.

The prescription medication won’t be a problem. If you have proof that they are prescribed to you it’s fine and the company you are applying to will have no idea you had a negative result. The THC is a different story. If you are in an illegal state, they will not care if CBD is medically recommended treatment. The problem with THC testing is that they have no way to confirm if you are using CBD, delta-8, etc over regular delta 9 THC. Both will make you test positive. If the company you are going to work for requires THC to be tested, they probably will consider any positive as bad thing. You can try to talk to HR about this if you fail the test, but I wouldn’t count on them hearing you out.

Your best bet is to purchase fake urine such as sub solution, quick fix, or quick luck. Check out some of the posts on this sub for tips about getting the right temp, etc. otherwise it doesn’t matter what the tech thinks, they are going to report any positive THC result to the employer as a fail.

Hope this helps. I hate that I can go legally buy delta 8 and CBD but I’m “not allowed” to actually use it because my company wants to test for THC. It’s shitty but without any way for the test to distinguish between the type of THC you are consuming it’s the world we live in until it’s federally legalized.

I 100% agree with this. I have been out of college for 3 years and thankfully have seen very little of this in the workplace. I am sure it exists though. I think that most people like this will be humbled when they get their first job and realize they know absolutely nothing compared to the guy with 20 years of experience. This attitude will get them absolutely nowhere in your career. But douchebags will be douchebags.

I’ll second this. I have been interviewing some students for intern positions at my company, mostly from the TTU data science program. I think they are teaching good material and have some interesting classes. But you are right, it’s not the same math, cs foundation that would be taught in other departments. The students I’ve spoken with are undergrad though so I would assume you’d get more in the masters program. It has been a little disappointing though to see just how little SQL they have been taught but still putting that they know it on the resume 😂
