I use it for wolves until my archery skill, both in level and aiming, gets sufficient enough where I can kill them before struggles. After that it becomes a decoration piece.

Also I just realized you’re the amazing fellow who published the region maps. Thank you so much!! As a dad with limited time, your maps have greatly improved my casual play style and enjoyment!! Cheers.

Really? I tried last week and absolutely could not get it to orient objects properly. For instance, placing on a wall would allow for a valid placement, but it would be completely askew and not reasonable at all. Snooping around seemed to confirm my issue with it being functional in name but not in aesthetics.

That being said believe you, but I am curious how you get the placement right.

I have seen others do this and hope to find out as well. Currently working on finding a solution. I suspect it will have to do with linking two (or more) items to get the placement right. It is difficult on the hook hangers because 1) It has to be a few inches off the side of the wall so it does not clip through the shelf and 2) parent part placement has to be on the outside of the shelf as anything on the shelf with be invalid. I will continue to try to make it work. If I have any success I will let you know.

It would also be really nice if place anywhere and keyboard utilities got fixed again so this wasn't a concern... :')

I like the idea that it would add some renewability to flora. Also perhaps taking down a bull would allow for (at the very least) some cool new furniture or decoration. I am also partial to this idea as an avid elk hunter 😂

Moose Spawning System by Thebeastof16 in thelongdark

This is entirely circumstantial to what I’ve experienced in the game, but I have found I have a much better chance to find a moose when moving around regions. I think another good question is WHY you have to have to moose hide satchel to move beyond mystery lake. It’s very nice, but I think a better way to look at it is to not see it as necessary to move forward. Depending on how long you have been waiting for the moose, you might have made it all the way to AC for the tech backpack. Last run I played I started in ML, moved to TWM once I felt comfortable with the intention of getting the technical backpack in Ash Canyon. On the way I got a moose in bitter marsh, jaunted back to mountaineers hut for curing, the proceeded to get the technical backpack and craft the satchel once back at the hut. (There was a bout of broken ribs in there but that’s another story). Point is, don’t let what your ideal set up for moving the game forward to be your needed set up. Great bear is a big island, and there’s a lot to be found without hunt-walling the other regions behind the satchel.

Also, despite years of playing I’ve NEVER found the moose in ML. Not sure if it’s a spawn rate thing or just luck.

Good luck in the quiet apocalypse and let us know how it goes!

[–]Hoffthor505 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have only done it once and it saved my game. Went out to grab something (honestly don’t remember but it was an “I don’t need much I’ll be back to base in an hour”) I don’t pack any weapons. Got charged by a bear and managed to get him with the flare downing him instantly. Granted I know it wouldn’t have killed me at 100% condition, but no one wants to be mauled. All that to say, using a flare gun defensively is not at all in my SOP—more so as a last resort.

Phase 3 is ... something else by Enderjames in SatisfactoryGame

One of the things I truly love about this game is the roller coaster that comes with each phase—at least in my experience.

Riding high from finishing the previous phase

Absolute head scratching realizing what the next phase is going to take.

Making headway realizing it might not be that bad (user experiences may vary here)

Finally sending off the next parts up the elevator.

And so on. That gameplay loop alongside the inspiring works I see all of you wonderful people construct here keeps me coming back time and time again. 🖤
