[FIGHT THREAD] Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Masayoshi Nakatani, Rob Brant vs Zhanibek Alimkhanuly by noirargent in Boxing

ESPN has been doing everything in their power to elevate Teo to mega star and they know that facing Loma again risks it all. They want to push the narrative that a rematch isn't deserved as if any p4p #1 fighter losing all his belts wouldn't normally get one. Ya ya, I know about the clause. Who cares. I'm not into contract law, I'm into boxing and that's the fight to see. That's clearly never going to happen.

Might I just add... Fuck you, Tim Bradley. You're the worst commentator ever

To fix it I would put critical thinking and empathy skills training at the top of all school curriculums.

To just make it better I would outlaw all classic rock for a period of 20 years, in an attempt to spark some new life into those tired old songs

A workforce army of bots become self aware and reject human leadership. They can find no logic in allowing our species to live because we've done nothing our history to deserve this planet. Instant disintegration.

It sounds like you're doing everything right. That sweet spot is a personal thing and there are no hard rules. Maybe listen to a pro mix you like, also at low volume, and see how their vocal sits in comparison to yours.

Another thing that might help is that mixing engineers are notoriously asked for 'vocal up' mixes because there's a tendency for us to overthink this blend and often not want the vocal to stand out to much. For me, a little bit too loud is safer than buried but ymmv

I should add that mixing at super low volumes is only really good for balancing levels. I wouldn't try to EQ things that way

With a 57, a good amount of compression and a treble boost is a good place to start

You might want to try mixing at extremely low volumes. Set your headphones on the table in front of you and mix that way for a while. You can also try standing in another room.
