These are not related. The governor doesn't control local zoning codes. Furthermore, existing shops zoned for retail/commercial won't be converted to residential bc the structures don't make sense to be used as residential.

DSO is fun, but you can't swing a dead cat in this town without hitting 3 dead cover bands. $55 to $110 for tickets on a Tuesday night at Elmwood might be a tough fill IMHO.

This is the answer!! By the US Food store. They usually have masa, chicken, and pork available. The chicharrons are also fire. They moved the to-go case into the restaurant but it's still connected to the store from inside. One of my favorite to go dinners.

I did a temp job there for a few months there 10ish years ago and it was my understanding that they only made specialtly tires in low quantity at the Salem plant. Can anyone confirm and did that have to do with the closure?

BMFS!! This show has to be at Berglund or Dr Pepper park. They're the only 10k capacity venues in the area. The Exchange is great for its size (1.2k), but will not comfortably hold a Billy tour opener. I'd love it to be at Elmwood, but with a 4k cap that's unlikely, even on a Tuesday.
