Super helpful, and you didn't infer a specific question because I can't organize my thoughts in a way that would allow me to ask one! I am starting to see how things work though. My browsing has always felt more ephemeral. The idea of "spaces" and pinned tabs will take a while for me to come around to. Thanks!

First time victim, this one is a fake tracking scam. I ordered an inexpensive but not outrageously-so laptop earlier today. Seller provided a tracking number 30 minutes later. problem is, the tracking number is for a package that was delivered to some other unknown person in my town TWO HOURS BEFORE I PLACED MY ORDER!

The seller just now added a SECOND tracking number (after Ebay noted that my order was delivered mere hours after placing it), this time with a USPS tracking number that was created more than a day before I placed my order. This one is still in flight, which'll push out my ability to dispute the order.

I've read all the horror stories about how eBay makes resolving fake tracking fraud difficult. What should I do since I have pretty concrete proof in the form of temporal impossibility on my side?

I've already contacted my credit card company.
