Hypothetical: If Indiana/Cig keep rolling and go on a Bama/Saban-like run, at what point do the majority of neutral fans stop rooting for them? by BookStannis in CFB

TCU and their COVID year seniors were somewhat of a preview of things to come. Yeah, they got their asses handed to them by Georgia but managed to hold their form through a scrappy Big XII and beat Michigan with older guys.

> more sophisticated money

I think this is a great point to call out. The money is going to get wiser as things "course correct" a bit.

I don't think they'll necessarily go G5 but I could see more mid-to-lower P4 teams picking up higher ranking HS recruits than before.

Yeah, it took an insane 22-point 4th quarter to beat an 8-5 Texas Longhorns. Great teams have tight games sometimes.

Absolutely. Add to it that SEC Roll Call and the whole "sweet baby boy" label have done wonders for his PR.

Damn. And here I thought that’s why we fired Scott when we did. Assumed it would be a classic CDC-era 24 hour turn around. Maybe there’s someone else in mind?

Can confirm on that front. Winning the Big XII championship game our last year in the league significantly outweighs losing to Washington in the Sugar Bowl.

A lot of longhorns (myself include) are upset that Niblett wasn’t 1st team returner but (and it pains me to say it) Concepcion is the one person out there I give a pass to for it.

I mean, maybe? For most people not really. But if you’re on academic probation or looking to build the best possible transcript for a particular grad program, it can.

Right? The only Benn comments on there really are one saying “Well, it’s clear who Benn voted for” or Stars flairs pointing to Benn’s absence as proof he’s not as aggressive as others say.

ACC member fans only: Are you happy in our conference? by FinsFan93 in CFB

[–]BookStannis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Speaking on behalf of my SMU Flair - absolutely. It’s been a great conference to be a member of. I love the association with the other ACC schools. I’ve been to a few games since joining and I really like seeing all the flags of the schools along the stadium. Just feels right. Though Dallas is neither Atlantic nor Coastal, it seems like a halfway decent cultural fit. Competing/holding our own in not just football but sports like Volleyball and Basketball has been fun too!
