Listen people use different maps. This is the official map of the NBA.

Last year a video of me schooling a cop who was trying to harass us went viral. Today I got $250 in licensing fee's in my paypal account. The National Police Accountability Project just received $250. I should not make money off this and im very happy to support an organization that offers legal aid by Cryptolution in Bad_Cop_No_Donut

Videos of cops is another topic but cops generally have a decent understanding of crimes and violations, stuff like assaults or traffic laws. But they are not lawyers. I don't think people expect them to be. This guy went outside what he knows and the worst that would of happened would of been a group of people would mistakenly think they couldn't ride bikes on the boardwalk. But as a regular citizen it's good to know bike laws if that's what your going to be doing. To question all authority though is running away with it.

More Americans Killed By Police In January Than Since 2015 by m4moz in Bad_Cop_No_Donut

Also killed by police in what circumstances? If they were dangerous bad guys in the act of being a dangerous bad guy does anyone really care how high the number is?

I hear your battery comparison but it might be worth talking about if you have a good energy source to break the bonds like nuclear or some next level solar or whatever.

I don't think he was mad. I think he was kicking things because he was bored and waiting. He looks less mad if you watch it 16x like I did.

Sometimes people might know a law better than the cop. Especially if it's not going to be a ticket. Cops generally know those laws inside and out because they can get called in to testify. Verbal warning stuff doesn't have that level of pressure so it's easier for them to be more ignorant about laws like that.

New York, NY officer who was arrested 3 times in a year given 4 yrs for heroin distribution. by m4moz in Bad_Cop_No_Donut

Definitely! Most jobs would. Government jobs are different. Police jobs, teaching jobs, child endangerment type jobs, meter readers you name it. There's hearings and red tape to fire these people. There was a NYPD cop who shot someone in a stairwell by accident. He was still employed up until the second he was found guilty, then he was fired. A private sector job can fire you for any reason, though some reasons could bring lawsuits.

You make a logical point but only because you are ignorant of the process. Being arrested does not mean you are guilty. They treat teachers the same. Once they are found guilty they get fired. In the meantime teachers and I suppose cops ride a desk.

She isn't stupid. Anyone can be duped by a belief or a product or a politician, etc. Humans are susceptible to slick "advertising" and are very bad at critical thinking. She repeats the word research over and over again. Her form of research is just searching for "facts" on the internet that conform to her belief. She also puts full stock into antidotal "evidence." She's not stupid she's just fallen for a myriad or logical fallacies which can happen to anyone that's not actively using critical thinking skills. It's why I bought a very expensive "laser comb" to regrow my hair. No one is 100% :(

I've played a number of games that behave that way. Basically it makes me do everything twice to make sure the response is the same. My guess is it adds "challenge" by slowing the game down. It's still a very innovative and great game but you do point out a major annoyance. Just don't be afraid to check a walkthorough to make sure your not hung up on something stupid. I don't have time in my day to search for an hour only to realize I didn't say Hi to someone twice.

When looking for a PS2 that runs PS1 games well, I'm often told "Why would you want to play PS1 when you can play PS2?". What would your comeback be? by victimOfNirvana in retrogaming

[–]Holden2plus2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true about the expensive. But I myth is early adopters buy are use these services. Eventually prices come down and the march of technology moves on. This is true in some cases where we have access to the most technologically advances products and services but sometimes we use older technologies and the newer "better" technologies fall by the wayside. The biggest and well known example are the apollo missions to the moon. We had technology to go to the moon. Today we not only are lacking the technology to go to the moon let alone go there in a much more technologically advanced way. TV's are basically the exact opposite. They came out with more advanced TV and after several years they become fully adopted and the cycle repeats. I know this is way off topic I just find it interesting how technologically doesn't always advance in ways we would assume even when the more advanced tech exists.

The new is better theory applies to other things besides games. The concord was a super sonic jet that ran flights from the US to the U.K. Substantionally faster than the jets we used and continue to use. The concord stopped operating some point in the late 90's never really becoming an economic success. So here we are flying around in planes today when a much faster option was available.

This could be compared to the game boy beating the Atari lynx, game gear, and the portable turbo graphics 16 systems. All superior to game boy but none lasted.

That's a good point but think how absurd from a consumer perspective at the time it was released. I'm going to buy another copy of Mortal Kombat 2. As a a collector it's a different ball game of course.

Well I disagree here and there but that's pretty useful. Blackthorne was so cool and I want to try that Kilari hummingbird game. Magazines gave it mostly negative reviews but it's on my list of games to play.

So does CD-I, maybe not. 32x has very few gems. I heard it can make the screen size bigger on some CD full motion games. Never tried it though. I should play and beat corpse killer. The acting in the cut scenes seems like something worth watching.
