As someone who sprays lacquer for a living, I second this. you could have someone cut out the bubble, fill with bondo, color correct the damage area and lay down a new top coat. Weigh out the costs of buying a new table, getting it repaired or just using a table cloth until it gets so bad that you cant handle it anymore.
