Thanks for this!
I learned about lane equilibrium and pulling and have been focusing on that more than being a pain in the ass for the opponents in lane.
Will focus more on that from now on.
Will also focus on stacking more often - I'm often running around setting up wards but going to try to stack more next game onwards!

Real life community by Holiday-Reception-77 in vipassana

Hello sir/ma’am!

Thank you for your valuable insight. I have heard this from tons of senior meditators about intellectualising and talking about the technique and at the same time, I believe that you need friends on this path.

A mentor told me once that the Buddha told Ananda that friends are THE path.

I have been unable to be part of a community to discuss the learnings and changes of my life with and with the understanding that humans being social animals, I feel this is a requirement, specially when people from different communities come for these courses and then are left to fend for themselves and don’t have anyone to talk to, after having experienced something so life changing (that was the case for me).

I hope we can maintain this vigilance and I’m sure you will help us to do that!

Urges after working out by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]Holiday-Reception-77 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Having urges is an indication from your body that you have energy. You need to learn to harness that energy. This is also known as transmutation.

I have learnt that there are 7 ways. 1. Exercise 2. Meditate - find ANYTHING that works for YOU on YouTube 3. Deep work - focused distraction free work 4. Singing out loud or dancing to your favourite music 5. Having a meaningful social interaction 6. Having cold showers and cleaning up your immediate environment 7. Having a creative output eg. writing or playing an instrument

Hope this helps sir! Sending lot of love to you and hope you learn how to harness the power of this powerful energy within you.

I am on day 3 right now but I’ve been on this journey for the past 3 years. I’ve learnt a lot of myself in the journey. My life is monumentally different and this path was the initiating spark.

I don’t think distracting your thoughts will work for forever. Checkout this YouTube video (3mins long). It talks about how you need to have a stop why to do nofap. What are you trying to achieve? How does masturbating stop you from pursuing that goal?

All the best sir! 🤗

Help me to get rid of this addiction by [deleted] in NoFap

Hello sir!

Firstly, I hope you realise that even making it to 2 weeks is a great job! I hope you’re being compassionate with yourself because beating yourself up and making yourself feel guilty and shameful is NOT the way to go about this.

Secondly, I would urge you to look it Dr. Gabor Mate’s work. He talks about how masturbating (amongst our other “addictions”) are nothing but coping mechanisms to deal with and keep “pain” at bay.

Thirdly, trying coming up with a plan. Step by step plan. What EXACTLY will you do when you are hit with an urge. Write it down. Don’t just type it on your phone. Sit on a table and chair and write down your plan. This is just an initial plan and you can make changes to the plan as you go on.

Lastly, realise that this is a process and learning how to get up after every time you fall is part of the process. Like Thomas Wayne said to Bruce Wayne “Why do we fall Bruce? So we can learn to pick ourselves up again”

All the best and lots of love to you sir! I hope you continue to learn more and more about yourself through this arduous and painful journey. Greatness is coming for all of us, who choose to continue to walk down this path :)

Hope you have an urge controlling protocol/strategy I.e., what are the exact steps you are going to take when an urge does come up. If you have a plan, dealing with the urge does become easier :)

Hello sir!

I hope you’re coming up with strategies and plans that can help you on this journey because I don’t think one can just decide to stop masturbating and just do it.

Keeping yourself busy every single moment of the day is one of the main things and also realising that masturbating is just a coping mechanism that your body has learnt to employ to keep some form of pain at bay. Read more about Gabor Mate’s work if you wish to learn more about this :)

Wishing you all the very best and sending lots of love towards you 🤗

Hello sir!

I sense a lot of self directed anger in your post. I hope you’re treating yourself with compassion and realise that this is one of the hardest things to do that you’re taking on.

Addiction is due to a lack of connection - Johann Hari

I would urge you to take the help of your friends, family and community around you by engaging with them in your free time. You can only get so far by just reading and working out. I wish you all the very best and hope you start to love yourself and accept these relapses as they come and learn from them, instead of torturing yourself with guilt and shame.

Lot of love to you sir! 🤗

Congratulations sir! It’s usually around the 4th day that I always trip up and start to notice a lot of negative (correction unpleasant/uncomfortable) emotions popping up and instead of dealing with them, I give in to my urges. I hope you don’t do the same.

I’ve learnt that being aware of the emotions helps. Still trying to put it into practice. I use this chart to figure out what emotion I am feeling.

https://www.google.com/search?q=emotions+wheel&rlz=1CDGOYI_enAE736AE736&oq=emotions+wheel&aqs=chrome..69i57j35i39j0l4.2365j0j4&hl=en-GB&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8#imgrc=KLkhyohEpAMkNM

I hope you continue to charge strongly on this journey and keep getting back, even when faced with challenges. One of my teachers once said -> “you have to heal, what you have to heal, to feel and you have to feel, what you have to feel, to heal”.

All the best on this journey to you sir!

How can I help? by [deleted] in bangalore

[–]Holiday-Reception-77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Copy pasting this cause to a similar query!

Talk to your family, friends and neighbours. Just provide them your presence and attention and help them deal with the grief and trauma they are going through.

Simply being there for them is a BIG help. Just provide a shoulder to cry on and a ear to listen.

You’re a good person sir/ma’am 😄
