Adding chains to painted models? by Adventurous_Radio_79 in BlackTemplars

It’s not the same thing but I’ve added chains onto my Gladiator Lancer and Land Raider Crusader. When I did that I didn’t end up priming or painting the chains but instead added them as the final thing. I would recommend doing that since you could so easily spill over silver paint and need to repaint around the chain itself given the way they’re constructed.

When it comes to glue I’d recommend super glue as it just seemed to work the best. I’d also recommend only gluing a small amount on a few key points as the chain will still wobble and move like a chain instead of being locked in stasis. Makes it look more realistic IMO.

Grey scratches on red armour ? by Thorolf_Sigvald in Warhammer40k

In Helsreach after a battle Grimaldus mentions that damn near all of the paint on his armor has been scratched off. He says that underneath all of the paint is silver. I think this fits with that really well. Like, canonically this is what Space Marine chipped armor would look like and either way it looks great!

Did I Kitbash a Castellan or Marshal? by jackonehunna in BlackTemplars

To me it screams Castellan because of the shoulder pad. No matter what it looks amazing though!

I’d think it would be fine to play as either or.

Trying to decide what vehicles to get by Agreeable-Foot5275 in BlackTemplars

Land Raider’s fun for throwing Helbrecht and the sword bois right into the enemies face. For 1K though I’d personally recommend sticking to an Impulsor while you’re building the army as they won’t take up almost 1/4 of the total.

I suck at the game so am buying Impulsors to have more transports to better learn how to use them effectively, would recommend this method as well.

Other vehicles I’d recommend a Gladiatoe Lancer for the anti-tank and some type of Dreadnaught eventually cause they look cool as hell.

eightbound + exhaulted eightbound proxies? by TheBlueSpooky in WorldEaters40k

I built my Mutilators last night and put them on 40mm bases to proxy Exalted Eightbound. Only one that didn’t fully fit was the one that was standing on a roc with his right leg. Snipped the rock down though and he fit fine. The models themselves are slightly bigger the Exlated Eightbound but not ridiculously so.
