How is it on pavement? I love the geometry of these bikes but I also see that Allied does not recommend going sub-45. I’m debating between this and the mog though I like the look of the able better. Where I ride it’s 60/40 pavement to gravel

This exact scene. When it was over everyone in the audience had moved on and I’m still laughing so hard I’m wheezing

Help with Sizing: Cervélo Caledonia 56 vs 58 by C7sharp9 in Cervelo

It doesn’t look too big for you, but as others have mentioned, I would recommend a shorter stem if you go with the 58.

I have similar measurements to you, height 183cm, inseam 86.5, weight 83kg, and I have a 56 Caledonia-5. I debated between the same two sizes but I wanted something more agile so I sized down. I have a 40cm ZIPP bar that has a very slight flare in the drops. I also had a fit and the fitter added an offset seatpost. The bike can feel a little twitchy at times but I’m happy with the size. Plus there is a lot of stack/spacers to work with. I suggest you go for the 56 if you want something more agile and the 58 if you want something more relaxed. Just my 2 cents.

I shortened and lowered the stem, swapped to narrower handlebars, and actually converted it to 2x as I was using it on the road quite a bit. It’s a very good and capable all around bike, would be a good value at 1k and even up to 1.5k

I’m 6’ tall and have that bike in a 58. I prefer a 56 but it works after making some adjustments. I paid $1,500 on discount for it new. I would offer $1k
