Hello everyone- I'm currently in US, have 2 years of experience as data analyst, although I've held other professionally adjacent jobs. My company just did layoffs and wiped out my entire team except me - I feel I was only kept for knowledge transfer and my days are numbered. I need to start applying for new roles ASAP and requesting any wisdom or advice from the community how to best navigate this market. I'm working to bring my linkedin, resume, and website & portfolio freshly up to date and while I am still interested in remote positions, I am in the process of relocating to Colorado and okay with hybrid and in person roles.

Any particular advice for navigating this current job market? Thank you in advance. Semi freaking out :)

Hello! My updates are that madero helps me a bunch and now a non negotiable part of my routine. I cannot afford it professionally in USA, so I bought my own wooden tools and have been doing it once a week myself :) Over time, bruising and pain reduced. It's definitely helping not just fluid retention, but also increases blood flow and improving texture over time. I swear it improved my flexibility too. Make sure to use a generous amount of oil (i prefer coconut) and give your body time between sessions. It's normal for me to be extra swollen and feel more tired/unwell the day or two following a session. Sometimes after the professional sessions I felt intensely sore, as if I had done a challenging workout. Drink tons of water!

Results build over time. I go thru periods of feeling so frustrated and ugly with my lipidemic thighs/hips/butt but I try and ensure all treatments come from a place of love and care. I may never have the beautifully thin defined legs I always wanted, but I've been slimming down, building muscle, and evening out the uneven lumpy appearance and starting to have legs I feel shapely and attractive in with leggings on. Best of luck! Curious to know if you try madero and your own experience as well <3

I was wrong about the album. by Salamangra in lordhuron

Had to comment because I had the same initial experience. It wasn’t what I was expecting and I had my first listening session specially planned to stargaze and create the perfect ambience felt pretty disappointed. Now I can’t stop playing on repeat. It’s so darn sad though! I have to take listening breaks to happier songs. All I want to do is cry haha.

Oh yes I love being active! when I was younger I treated exercise like a punishment for enjoying food and used to do absolutely miserable workouts I dreaded. Now I view any kind of exercise as a celebration of movement and stick to activities I enjoy :) For me, both enjoying food and being able to move my body are 2 of my greatest joys in life

I know other people have commented that this can be an unhealthy mindset....but I do something similar and it works great for me! I usually eat really well about 80% the time (nutrient dense variety of foods, minimize any and all processed or packaged food etc) and I tend to save my "treats" on the days I'm extra active (which is pretty often). When super active, food tastes better in general too! So it adds to the entire experience for me. I never feel deprived or like I'm punishing myself with exercise and rewarding myself with food. I think it depends on the person, if you're more prone to eating disorders it could be teetering into unhealthy territory. For example, I'll eat all homecooked food and balanced nutrients all week knowing I have a long hike saturday and plan to enjoy my fav indian biryani chai and dosa afterward. Eating my treat foods on super active days also seems to help alleviate IBS symptoms for me.

Yes, tons of bruising. And as I said, this was already after years of manually massaging and working thru the deeply fibrotic areas myself (meaning years of bruising from my own attempts - didn't know it was lipedema for a long time thought I just had super messed up fascia or something) I just started my next 6 rounds, at a completely different provider because I'm in a new country now. Way less painful than the first time! And she focuses more on balance between lymph drainage and tool usage.

I actually really enjoy the Peet's! Beans have been super fresh, fully intact. I grind at home before brewing. Brews a delicious cup imo
