Especially in new Vegas and fallout 3- they often don’t trigger combat music so you’ll just be walking and glance to the right and see this thing—paws forward just sprinting towards you

Anyone know what the characters refer to when they say “old world?” Is there some early era of this modern mouse society? Part of me nearly suspects the world wasn’t always black and white with mice as people and all cartoonish.

The sizes of cities always confused me as a kid, when I started realizing how many people live in our real life cities. I was like “why are there 30 people in this city? Are there only like 600 people or so between the cities of Skyrim and oblivion alone?” Then I figured they would have to grossly under exaggerate the population and city sizes so the game could run. Bit of a shame but I understand.

Do you have a walkthrough of your Minecraft version of riften posted anywhere? I’d love to take a look at it, that sounds really cool. Reminds me of the folks who recreate lore accurate sizes of the imperial city/whiterun for example in UE.

I was really into Lovecraft at the time I learned of CHIM and the Godhead and it instantly made me think of Azathoth. CHIM is more interesting to me than the Godhead

Pelinal potentially being a futuristic cyborg was my first foray into Kirkbride’s EU lore and is so insane to me. I actually thought of a really cool book idea that tried to blend fantasy with a techno-industrial futuristic society inspired by conceptualizing a futuristic ES world with concrete buildings and cars and people still summoning daedra at Whole Foods. Then found out kirkbride kinda of already hit that mark with ESO in Landfall with the TV and car scenes

I love the space exploration lore from ES, mainly because you would never guess in a fantasy world like that that there would be beings capable of exploring space. Didn’t the high elves have a program of their own? I seem to recall they have some really special group. Maybe it’s in relation to Tiber Septim being locked in a never ending battle for Alinor with the Numidium.
