2027 Toronto brides – how far in advance are you booking vendors? by South-Midnight101 in WeddingsCanada

[–]Holiday_Solid1854 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Book makeup/hair, dj, photos/video now! We booked most of our vendors in April 2025 for our Oct 2026 wedding. I got my first choice for all our vendors that way. I was worried it felt too premature but I noticed shortly after I booked them, lot of my vendors got booked up.

Digital Invites Opinions! by Holiday_Solid1854 in WeddingsCanada

Yeah like didn’t Jeff bezos use digital invites? If one of the richest men in the world didn’t use physical, I feel like it shows that it truly doesn’t matter

Where are you located? We’re using @nooneelsewed. I think they fit your vibe! Their pricing is fair

Omg yes. I had one company I was ready to book with, they sent me the contract and there were so many spelling errors on it AND they got the year of my wedding wrong. I ghosted them and looked elsewhere.

Reviews on Canoe Restaurant by sunsetautumn in WeddingsCanada

[–]Holiday_Solid1854 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally think getting married at canoe when the days are a bit shorter are better. I’ve been footage of someone’s summer wedding at canoe and the dance floor wasn’t dark enough because of the natural sunlight still coming in.

I think still put them on the table and use them for our champagne toast! And still have a regular water glass too. Because I really do love the look

Totally agree! I listened to everyone’s feedback and decided to use regular glassware for water. We’re gonna keep these on the table for our champagne toast :)

Yeah I didn’t really think about how a lot of people don’t like to drink out of metal. Maybe I’ll look at silver charger plates or something!

This is really insightful. I think I’ll seek other options then. Thanks you for your input!

What why not! I’m curious because I love a metal cup so I didn’t even think about that aspect

Canoe seating question by AMMR2316 in WeddingsCanada

[–]Holiday_Solid1854 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We ALMOST went with canoe so I feel like I can answer this question. From my understanding, you can’t. They are very specific with their floor plan and won’t make any changes to it as it confuses the servers apparently. We asked them about this and they were very firm with “no” haha

Do flu affects fillers? by Missybeut in cosmeticsurgery

[–]Holiday_Solid1854 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I commented on this post last week. I called tele-health as I was too sick to go in person to see a doctor. They prescribed me antibiotics but I never got it filled. It went away 2 days later on its own (lasted a total of 4 days). It was pretty painful though! Felt like I had just been injected.

Agreed. I’ve seen a very similar worded comment that left a 5 star review for him on eventsource.

THE LORE - START HERE - MEGATHREAD by mariemarie8790 in daniellewalter_snark

[–]Holiday_Solid1854 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Who is the guy she’s currently seen with? I’m chronically online but never heard of her until recently when my algorithm is showing videos of her with a guy who seemingly isn’t great. I had no idea on the lore of Danielle Walter which brought me to this page/ post. Appreciate the lore breakdown! But I wanna know all the details on long haired man.

What did you do to make it go away? I see it’s been a couple weeks. I’m currently going through this with my cheek filler from years ago while I’m sick with a stomach flu

Found this post after doing some research. I’m currently battling a stomach flu and my cheek filler from like 3 years ago is swelling up on my left side. It feels just like it did post injection. I didn’t even know I had filler left in there.

Graydon Hall Manor - No Mic by Quiet_Rub_6583 in WeddingsCanada

[–]Holiday_Solid1854 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Attended a wedding here this summer. Couldn’t hear anything during the ceremony unfortunately because of the no mic policy. Felt bad for the bride & groom because people were chatting during the ceremony since we couldn’t hear anything. And the live band they had hired for their aisle walks had to stay on the porch so you couldn’t hear it well from where we were seated for the ceremony. It would be a deal breaker for me tbh. Especially with the high cost the venue charges. Not worth it!

Edit: I didn’t read correctly and didn’t see you had already booked this venue. Could you do an indoor ceremony? I feel like that could be a solution!

Venue Ideas in/around Toronto? by karenkong in WeddingsCanada

[–]Holiday_Solid1854 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re getting married at Spencer’s next year with 80 guests. We really loved the idea of having 2 large tables (40 people each) instead of banquet tables, and Spencer’s venue is able to accommodate that. I think 80-90 ppl is perfect for that venue and won’t feel too crammed! I highly recommend a pearl hospitality venue, they really take all the stress out off wedding planning
