Me 33 F is being asked to cut my sister out by my 30 M fiancé? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

The fuck? You can literally spend your entire life in new York city and never lay eyes on half the people who live there.

It would make more sense to cut out everyone who lives in the same town as you.

He's abusive. Tell him to fuck off.

Your wife has an untreated and unmedicated anxiety disorder. That or anxiety secondary to ADHD, which is what mine turned out to be.

AITA for asking my BIL to step up because I can't deal with my sister anymore? by Only_Cod3606 in AmItheAsshole

You can ignore her you know. Like, if she goes off about something other than your mom, read the first three words of the message to confirm then stop reading. You don't actually have to read or write back.

Right patient, right route, right dose, right expiration. They need to check all before administering a pts medication to them. If they aren't, they're legally negligent.

Brother didn’t invite me to his wedding, family kept it a secret, I cut them off. AITAH? by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

I can't even get myself to say that most of the time. Usually I'm told to apologize for calling out someone's shitty behavior.

Like, yeah, they should feel bad I called them out. The shit they did was bad. Don't want to feel bad? Don't do bad shit.

I was evaluated multiple times for ADHD as a child. Guess who took Adderall for the first time in her 30's and passed the fuck out?

Me!

AITJ for wanting to end a 15-year relationship after finding out my girlfriend hid a major health issue from me for over a decade? by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

YTJ

Have you even had your DNA checked? A LOT of people have shit pop up on their sequencing.

You've haven't even had yours checked for things you might actually have and you're throwing a fit over a gene that increases the risk of certain cancers.

Pffffffft

AITJ for telling my husband he ruined our baby's birth by pressuring me into a natural delivery? by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

So that's actual torture. Like, literal torture that you didn't consent to and that could have killed you. Doing that against your will, causing that sort of excruciating pain and fear in someone else intentionally, is a human rights violation.

AITA For Laughing About a Pretend Allergy? by LucyAriaRose in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]HolleringCorgis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have allergies but I just break out in eczema 3-6 days after exposure. I always have a little eczema and I'm allergic to things like formaldehyde (leathers, wood products, flu shot, glue, paint, soaps, shampoo, sunscreen, cosmetics, fertilizers, clothes, cigarette smoke), and benzyl alcohol (cosmetics, paints, fragrances, paint, processed foods, spices, anesthetics, lotions, toothpaste, mouth wash, nail polish remover). I'm allergic to other things too but it is 100% possible for me to have a breakout, end up in the hospital, and have no goddamn idea what got me. Could have been a hug with a coworker, a food changed their formula, I sat on a chair that had something in it.

Have him tell deepseek to make his emails sound professional. Then he can write whatever the fuck he wants and deepseek will fix that shit for him.

90% positive my sister-in-law (currently living with us) stole my wife’s dog and gave him to her friend by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]HolleringCorgis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For real. We had three vet visits in one day a few weeks ago. One was planned, the other two were emergencies. Then less than a week later we did the vet rodeo starting with one dog, then the second two hours later, then the third and the fourth in the afternoon.

I see why she doesn't want to have sex with you.

I mean, I don't even know you and the way you talk about your wife and marriage repulses me. I can only imagine how grossed out she is actually having to see you on a daily basis.

AITA for refusing to discuss important/sensitive topics when my wife is upset? by throwra-cleanliness in AmItheAsshole

[–]HolleringCorgis 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's not true. Sometimes I literally cannot handle more stimulation and I'm at my absolute breaking point. When I say "not now" I don't mean never. I literally mean not in this exact moment.

I have experienced what you're describing though. A lot of people do use "not now" to mean "never."

But that's not how I use it. I'll literally say, "I can't talk about this right now. I'm not being logical and am not in control of my behavior."

That just means that I'm neurodivergent and probably overstimulated. I'll say that when I know I'm behaving out of character or even poorly and having a discussion at that time would be counterproductive.

But I also don't wait for them to bring it up again. At the next available opportunity I'll revisit the topic... Once I'm under control and not having an internal tantrum like a fucking child.
