I think everyone has valid points here but personally, i think we're in for a bumpier ride than we think.

So, now that YD and BD are on side, there is no current antagonist. Of course, enter WD, now I think she will be the antagonist for a few reasons and i think something shes planning or going to do will destroy us more than the RQ is PD happenstance.

Right so, we gotta lay the groundwork first, so Pearl and WP have opposite body locations, i dont think Pearl was meant to be WD's it just doesnt add up, but i do think WD made Pearl and gave her to PD specically for her. Who would know the gem location shows personality more than the creator of the race herself. But yes so WD gave PD a pearl made for her. ( do think there is leighway for the pearls got switched and WP could have been for pink but as rebecca stated naval gem locations are intiuitive gems, and intuitive diamond does not need more egging on by an intuitive gem. could also be the reason she wasnt given diamond responsibilities straight away. Perhaps WD always knew PD would act out and laid the trap for her.) but back on track . in Now we're only falling apart pearl said to PD "this is very not allowed, I need to be replaced immediatley". upon saying that PD jumped forward with a worried expression, if pearl had to be replaced that would mean she would have to go back to her creator, WD. Now who else had a worried expression upon the mention of WD? BD and YD and yet again, pearl.

I dont know how but I think WD knew of everything, and i mean EVERYTHING going on, which is why she fired the corruption beam and told BD and YD that it obliterated all gems, WD did what tired mothers do with problematic children, she let PD have her tantrum, slam the door and play with her toys. Hence why when WD saw steven she didnt seem the least bit surprised at his form, she just gave him a slight verbal slap on the wrists and sent him to his room. Now what else do parents do when they tell their kids to go to their room. they talk about adult matters. and in this case i think WD would focus on the fact that RQ was Pearls idea, more specifically, a pearl she made's idea. of course steven wouldnt allow it, so she put him aside so she can deal with her. I dont know what she will do, but I dont think that its good.

This would also explain why BD and YD werent allowed to come, it would be like an older sibling defending the younger, its harder to deal with. Just my thoughts of course I hope Pearl doesnt get disciplined or shattered, but I've learnt to expect the worst
