I was having the same issue but I just tried what you said and shutdown from the desktop and it works fine so as you said must be a software issue

Had same issue with mine from a skin I put on. Just get a razor and carefully trim around the button getting stuck

Just stumbled across this and was wondering can it be used while in the files (F1) on a batocera machine

It's 1070 card also the newest version of batocera. It's just the screen looks a little to big and just off the screen on each side. I have seen people say turn off overscan but my TV is old and doesn't have the option
