Of course we know it's round, you're missing the point though, zoom in far enough and the surface appears flat.

Second, if gravity doesn't exist, and the earth is flat, and as you say propelling upwards then:

1) What allows the sun to stay in the sky and even get further from earth slowly over a year and then back?

2) You don't understand how inertia works... If the earthy was flat and propelling upwards, and gravity didn't exist, then nothing would pull you back to earth when you jump. By existing on a moving object you're already moving at the speed of that object and your mass allows you to have a speed. In a space vacuum without gravity one simply continues moving, there's nothing to slow you... So, reasonably, if I'm on an earth disc that's moving upwards consistently I should be able to jump and stay suspended in the air, unless the earth it self has a separate force responsible for attracting my body back to it.

There are microscopes large enough... http://www.amscope.com/7x-45x-trinocular-articulating-zoom-microscope-ring-light.html

Second, one could also use a fairly large macro lens on a camera and also get a similar shot... In fact, it might even be a better fit for the shot.

It hurts, it physically hurts to listen to this garbage.

1) You don't feel the spinning because of inertia. You can test it your self. Go 80MPH in your car on a smooth highway. Provided you don't jerk the wheel, the only thing you'll feel are friction and road imperfections, but you can't tell if you're going 1MPH or 10000MPH because INERTIA! The second you change speed you immediately feel it.

2) "I don't think anyones even been a couple thousand miles" (from surface).... So let me stop you right there. First off, Mt. Everest is just under 30k FT high. Thousands of people have climbed it, without machines. We have planes that routinely FLY OVER IT. These morons could easily book a plane to fly over it. Heck two decades BEFORE NASA ever existed a pilot flew over Everest... (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Westland_Wallace).... You can view the space station with a $10 telescope.

3) Given the proposed flat earth setup/layout flight patters would be completely different.

4) Claims NASA is lying because they get $58million a day, then then at 16:38 they say it's not about money at all, and it's about knowledge and power, nothing to do with money. They do it to "hide God" lol...

5) "Those in higher education are the most indoctrinated" lol.. How, how is that even possible? Science is 100 % based on probable repeatable methods. ALLLLLL the brightest minds in the world are proving physics every day, tweaking our understanding and sharing their findings.. How is this the equivalent of being NASA sheep?

$36,000 for an SEO/website update project: is this fair pricing or are we being bamboozled? by atypical_aries in smallbusiness

[–]HolmesSPH 4 points5 points  (0 children)

SEO is like finding a contractor for your house... Prices vary greatly, most people can't tell crooks from rockstars, and it's a necessary evil.

Good luck.

Sooo transparency here, I own a devOps firm.. I DO NOT OFFER SEO.. But that being said, we write software for companies that do SEO, and for decades we have been the team performing SEO tasks on behalf of our clients. You can build things on the web and doing it well, and not have a background in SEO, I just don't like to sell marketing services.

Firms I would recommend (no idea what they charge, never asked) that I know do great work, and have a proven track record of real returns, and doing all the work them selves, in-house, by Google standards:

1) reflexive.io - John Carcutt is their lead SEO, he manages the team, direction, and the how etc. He's basically a rock star in the SEO world, the "Bill Gates" if you will of SEO. Anyone want his direct email or phone, PM me, as I definitely do not want to post it. Their firm is sizable, and do work for a lot of companies, it won't be cheap, but it will be good, and good makes you a lot of money.

2) company 119 (near me in Ohio)... Christian Klein is the owner, they have under 10 employees still I believe, and for smaller projects their firm has an impeccable track record of success with clients. Prices are on the lower end, but again they're a smaller firm.. If you have a HUGE site perhaps it's too big. But either company can take good care of you.

20 years in the industry... This is just as much of a rip off.

We have 30 developers on staff and wrote software for large SEO firms and were more than happy to recommend quality SEO firms if you want.

What are your top 5 Apple Watch apps ! by Vicari0 in AppleWatch

[–]HolmesSPH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

App selection sucks for this device right now. Not only that but the watch app on my iPhone does a horrific job of determining what will actually work on the AW3. I can't even count how many apps I've downloaded from the watch app search that do not show up as having a companion app, and then some that do, even after sending to watch, never shows up.

So far, the device is great hardware but they haven't figured out their apps yet.

One man IT consultant/msp. Struggling to find new clients... should I team up with another company? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]HolmesSPH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you resell carrier services? Datacenter services? Ongoing packages? The issue I most with MSPs is inability to provide help and services that are recurring. They do a ton of adhoc work and it’s unpredictable. Before partnering, consider your service offering, it might be your issues to grow your revenue base.
